Cat Methvin

Catherine (Cat) Methvin is 10 years old and is homeschooled. Cat plays Jojo! You may have seen Cat is various other shows, such as Aristocats, Magic School Bus, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Frozen Jr., Fast Food, and School House Rock Live Jr. When Cat is at home, she enjoys drawing AGGRESSIVELY, playing Project Sekai and Roblox, making kandi, and listening to music. Cat’s favorite thing about theatre is everything (besides tech week)!

Daniley Connell

Daniley Connell is 17 years old and attends Shelby County High School. Daniley plays The Cat in the Hat. You may have seen Daniley is various productions at her school, such as Little Mermaid Jr., Frozen Jr,. Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz. When Daniley is at home, she likes to sing, write music, practice photography, talk to her friends, and drink ice water! Daniley’s favorite thing about theatre is getting to collaborate creatively with the other students who share a passion for performing arts.

Will Brown

Will Brown is 11 years old and attends Helena Intermediate School. Will is making his debut in theatre as Horton the Elephant! When Will is at home, he enjoys riding his bike. Will’s favorite thing about theatre is that he gets to learn new things and meet new people!

Andrew Collins

Andrew Collins is 13 years old and is homeschooled. Andrew is cast as Mr. Mayor. Andrew made his first appearance in theatre in last Spring’s Improv class, where he excelled! When Andrew is at home, he enjoys playing with his sister. Andrew couldn’t choose what his favorite thing about theatre is, so he chose everything!

Devyn Ray

Devyn is 9 years old and attends Chelsea Park Elementary School. Devyn plays Mrs. Mayor. You may have seen Devyn in various dance recitals, Holiday show offs, and other school programs. When Devyn is at home, she likes to read, draw, watch TV, jump on her trampoline, and listen to music. Devyn's favorite thing about theatre is.. theatre!

Lilla Rumsey

Lilla is 11 years old and attends Chelsea Park Elementary. Lilla is cast as Gertrude McFuzz. This is Lilla's debut in theatre. When Lilla is at home she likes to play games on her iPad with friends, draw, crochet and is currently the pitcher for her 10U softball team. Lilla’s favorite thing about theater is all of it. She has had so much fun practicing her songs and meeting like-minded friends

JoBess Yancey

JoBess Yancey is 14 years old and attends Shelby County High School. JoBess plays Mayzie La Bird. You may have seen JoBess in various other shows such as The Wizard of Oz, The Absolutely True Story of Tom Sawyer, Frozen Jr., School House Rock Live Jr., and Matilda Jr. When JoBess is at home, she likes to craft, draw, watch shows, sing, and prepare for whatever show she is in at the moment! JoBess’ favorite thing about theatre is being with all the talented people in the cast.

DT Mizell

DT Mizell is 11 years old and attends Columbiana Middle School. DT plays the Head Wickersham Brother. You may have seen DT in other shows, such as Matilda Jr., Lion King Jr., Frozen Jr., and School House Rock Live Jr. When DT is at home, he likes to play video games. DT’s favorite thing about theatre is that he gets time away from his three sisters!

Temperance Dailey

Temperance Dailey is 17 and attends Shelby County High School. Temperance plays Sour Kangaroo. You may have seen Temperance in various roles at her school, including The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Shrek Jr., The Wizard of Oz, and The Absolutely True Story of Tom Sawyer. This is Temperance’s second time being in Seussical Jr., where she played a Who. When Temperance is at home, she likes to color, babysit, read, sing, and play guitar. Temperance’s favorite thing about theatre is seeing her directors and being part of her all time favorite show along with her besties.

Elsie Fellmeth

Elsie Fellmeth is 8 years old and is homeschooled. Elsie plays Young Kangaroo and a Bird Girl. You may have seen Elsie in other shows such as Frozen Jr., Gulliver’s Travels, School House Rock Live Jr., and Fast Food. When Elsie is at home, she likes to draw, read, play with her siblings, and dress up. Elsie’s favorite thing about theatre is learning the songs and getting her roles

Annie Hood

Annie Hood is 9 years old and attends Elvin Hill Elementary. Annie plays a Bird Girl and Vlad Vladikoff. You may have seen Annie in other shows, such as Matilda Jr. and Gulliver’s Travels. When Annie is at home, she loves to make art. Annie’s favorite thing about theatre is when she gets to sing.

Hazel Locker

Hazel Locker is 9 years old and attends Elvin Hill Elementary. Hazel plays a Bird Girl and The Grinch. You may have seen Hazel in various productions such as Hats!, Fast Food, and School House Rock Live Jr. When Hazel is at home, her favorite hobby is eating. Hazel’s favorite thing about theatre is when she gets to sing.

Jameson Ray

Jameson Ray is 7 years old and attends Chelsea Park Elementary. Jameson plays a Wickersham Brother. You may have seen Jameson in another show called Cookie and Frog. When Jameson is at home, he enjoys watching TV. Jameson’s favorite thing about theatre is the dancing.

Nate Fellmeth

Nathaniel (Nate) Fellmeth is 6 years old and is homeschooled. Nate plays a Wickersham Brother and Yertle the Turtle. You may have seen Nate in other shows such as School House Rock Live Jr. and Fast Food. When Nate is home, he enjoys building Lego sets. Nate’s favorite thing about theatre is how fun it is!

Elias Lambert

Elias Lambert is 8 years old and is homeschooled. Elias plays a Wickersham Brother and Elephant Bird. You may have seen Elias last summer in his theatre debut, School House Rock Live Jr. When Elias is at home, he likes to break dance and create art. Elias’ favorite thing about theatre is the singing and dancing.

Amaya McCray

Amaya McCray is 10 years old and attends Calera Intermediate School. Amaya is making her theatre debut as a Bird Girl! When Amaya is at home, she likes to play with her friends, express her creativity, act, and sing. Amaya’s favorite thing about theatre is when she gets to sing.

Lily Penhale

Lily Penhale is 11 years old and is homeschooled. Lily is making her debut in theatre as a Bird Girl! When Lily is at home, her favorite thing to do is talk to her friends. Lily’s favorite thing about theatre is when she gets to learn the dance moves!

Kaley Van Houten

Kaley Van Houten is 10 years old and attends Chelsea Park Elementary. Kaley plays a Bird Girl. This is Kaley’s third time in a theatre show! When Kaley is at home, she likes to sing and dance. Kaley’s favorite thing about theatre is her teachers.

Lena Rios

Lena Rios is a recent graduate of the University of Montevallo. She received her Bachelors of Science in Theatre May of 2025. Lena has been a part of many productions, such as The Addams Family Jr, James and the Giant Peach Jr, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, and many more. She has held various roles in these productions such as technical work, set work, stage managing, and even directing. Lena is excited to officially become part of SCAC’s staff as an administrative assistant as well as continuing her role as Youth Theatre Director. In her free time she enjoys drawing, reading, hiking, playing with her cats Lester and Soot Sprite, and playing Just Dance (where she is currently a level 100+). Ms. Lena's favorite thing about theatre is seeing the final product on stage and playing games with her students!

Reagan Parrott

Reagan Parrott is a recent graduate of the University of Montevallo. She loves all things theatre, but you’ll mostly find her in the shop creating props. Her previous shows include Little Shop of Horrors, The Glass Menagerie, Cabaret, Punk Rock Girl, Pippin, as well as many others. She is so thankful for the opportunity to work with the Shelby County Arts Council, and she hopes you enjoy the show as much as she has enjoyed working on it!

Ruth Turner

Ruth Turner is a junior in high school and is thrilled to be part of this productions crew. She has a deep love for theatre and has been involved both onstage and behind the scenes, including acting, assistant directing, music directing, and choreographing for children’s productions in the past. Ruth has loved being the choreographer for Seussical Jr. and can't wait for summer camp! When she’s not performing, Ruth enjoys photography, singing everything from musicals to Christian in the car, and volunteering in her community. She hopes to pursue a future in theatre and working with children, possibly as a director or performer. Ruth would like to thank her family and friends for their constant support and encouragement.

Ruby Hudgins

Ruby is a freshman in the BFA Theatre Design/Tech Major at the University of Montevallo. She is typically found Stage Managing around her hometown, but her favorite credits include: Stage Manager for Little Shop of Horrors with Grissom, Last Minute Swing for The Play That Goes Wrong with Renegade PTC, Student Director for Rapunzel and the Beanstalk with FPCTA, Assistant Stage Manager for Romeo & Juliet at the University of Montevallo, and Assistant Technical Director for Charlotte's Web with AAA. Nyx Griffith

Nyx is a freshman in the BFA Theatre Design/Tech Major and Arts Administration Minor at the University of Montevallo. They often work in costumes and makeup, but also have a passion for stage management. Their recent credits include: Makeup Design Assistant for American Idiot, Assistant Head of Wardrobe for Romeo and Juliet, Light Board operator for Godspell, Costume Design Assistant for Alice by Heart at The University of Montevallo, and Assistant Stage Manager for Mamma Mia at Sylacauga High School.
