Meet the Company

Mel Braden

Gingy
Once upon a time, a baker left a tray of gingerbread dough in the oven a bit too long. Far too late, they realized they'd forgotten to take one out—a mistake that gave birth to Mel (Emily Braden), a dramatic gingerbread girl. Mel leaped from the oven, declared herself a theater kid, and has been chasing the spotlight ever since. These days, when she’s not dodging the baker who wants her back, Mel likes reading chapter books, painting, baking cookies, putting the rest of her energy into reading and one-man-performing musicals for her cat, and spending time with her dad and nana.

Zoe Pietrandrea - Costume Crew Chief Hello! This is my first year in theatre. Earlier this year, I was an actor in a one-act play. However, for the musical, I decided to try being part of the crew. I have enjoyed this experience and love the friendships I have made through theatre.

Caroline Ford

Papa Ogre, Papa Bear, Duloc Dancer 3, Dead Knight 3, Dancing Rat
Caroline Ford - Papa Ogre, Papa Bear, Duloc Dancer 3, Dead Knight 3, Dancing Rat As a part of Shrek: The Musical, I have worked with familiar faces and new ones, encouraging other actors to stay on track, memorize their lines, and practice their choreography to make this show memorable. This is the second performance I have participated in, as I was the teacher for the One Act competition/performance in November 2024. Plating 4 roles has been slightly difficult, especially memorizing my parts for each song, changing in between each scene, but I wouldn't change a thing about it; it's been so much fun to sing, dance, and prepare the show each day that you almost forget how much work you've put in to be better. I hope to become an actor, voice actor, playwright, or animator for a major show, after minoring in Theatre in college. The people here are some of the most friendly people I know, from their odd sense of humor to their crazy expressions; I believe they will go far. I'd love to become a crew member backstage and do more expressive shows, especially in set design since I love making art projects.

Torilin Johnson

Katie Williams

Pied Piper
Mrs. Williams is bubbling with delight to be a part of one of her favorite Broadway shows and reliving her high school musical days! A school counselor by day, Mrs. Williams spends her the rest of her time performing showtunes for her dog and cat, who have no choice in the matter. Much love to family including mom, dad, and brother who inspire her every day, wife, Becca, who sings along with her, friends for their undying support, baby Williams coming in October, and sister-in-law, Alyssa, who would be very upset if she wasn't included in this bio. Enjoy the show!!!

Rylan Castle

Getting to do something you love among friends is always the best. I look forward to seeing what’s next and seeing what all these amazing people will accomplish! They always know how to make me smile. They have supported me throughout my journey with this show. I am so grateful to have these people with me. My friends Peyton, Sarah, Kady, Mallory, Delilah, Daphne, Lily and many more are big parts of my life. As well as their parents and all of their siblings. Progressing through this show has shown me that having people with you to support you is so important to success. I thank everyone that has supported me.
