Meet the Company

Jocelyn Coburn

The Magician
Jocelyn Coburn - The Magician Jocelyn Coburn (she/they) is thrilled to be making their Sunday stages debut! Some of her favorite roles include Emily Webb (Our Town), Thea (Spring Awakening), Sonia (Godspell), and Gwendolyn Fairfax (The Importance of Being Ernest). Jocelyn is a Musical Theatre student at Suny Cortland and has just finished their run as Viola/Cesario in By Any Other Name! Other backstage credits include Choreographer (The Drowsy Chaperone), Co-Director (Seusical Jr.), and Assistant Stage Manager (In Emily’s Words). Jocelyn would like her family for all of their support throughout the years; her partner Charlie for always being a beacon of support; Sunday stages for asking them to jump into this awesome project; and you, the audience that makes theater like this possible!

Marianna Tonas

The Magician
Marianna Tonas - The Magician Marianna Tonas has been writing and singing since they were a kid, but really came out of their shell when they started doing theatre (blame my sister, everything she did growing up, I also had to do). They are beyond grateful for every opportunity they get to perform on stage in Rochester. Some favorite productions include A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (Panacea/Protean) at Blackfriars Theatre, The Man Who Came to Dinner (Miss Preen) at The Company Theatre, and Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience (Announcer/Grand Pah Mole) at TYKEs. They work in the bakery at Tops Friendly Market (we have the best muffins, fight me) and aspire to become a voice actor one day!

Ian Cannioto

The Emperor
Ian Cannioto - The Emperor Ian Cannioto is the newest member of the Sunday Stages board, and this is their second Sunday Stages show! You might’ve seen them last year in 35mm for the Fringe Festival, they have also done Once On This Island (Daniel) at Blackfriars, A Gentleman’s Guide To Love And Murder (D’Ysquith Family) at MCC, and Spring Awakening (Hanschen) at The Company Theatre, just to name some favorites! When they’re not on stage, they’re a store manager at Dunkin Donuts.

Charlie Cowan

The Empress
Charlie Cowan - The Empress Charlie Cowan (they/he) is so excited to be part of this cast of amazing performers! They have been on the Sunday Stages board for nearly two years and have worked backstage for our first two productions - 35mm and All in the Timing. Their recent performing credits in Rochester include Legally Blonde with Pittsford Musicals and Spring Awakening with The Company Theatre. You can also see them in Roberts Community Theatre’s upcoming production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Michaela Buckley

The Wheel of Fortune
Michaela Buckley - The Wheel of Fortune Michaela Buckley (she/her) is thrilled to be involved in her first project with Sunday Stages! As a new board member she is so proud of the work the team has done conceptualizing this piece as it has been so rewarding to experience it taking form. She has performed Tarot readings for over 5 years and has first hand experience of the insight the cards provide. She was overjoyed at the opportunity to perform the reading and help to interpret the spread that created the show you will experience today! She grew up in Fairport and has returned home after completing an apprenticeship with the Michael Chekhov Studio Berlin. While there, she deepened her studies in Groznjan, Croatia with Chekhov Europe. She earned her BA in Theatre(Acting/Directing) from SUNY Oswego, where she had the opportunity to complete a Winter Intensive at The Moscow Art Theatre. Recently, you may have seen her as Carol in Oleanna or in Dashboard Dramas at the Fringe Festival. Endless gratitude to my parents for making this all possible.

Tiffany Thompson

The Devil
Tiffany Thompson - The Devil Tiffany Thompson (they/she) is so excited that you’re here to see Tarot Cabaret! This project has been in the makes for a while, they hope you love the show. Past productions of theirs include: All in the Timing and 35mm… at the Rochester Fringe Festival (Sunday Stages), A Funny Thing Happened… (Blackfriars Theatre), The Wedding Show Ithaca. They are currently in Robert’s Community’s production of Joseph!

Drew Jensen

Drew Jensen - The Star This is Drew Jensen’s (he/him) first production with Sunday Stages. Other recent productions include Cabaret (Emcee) at Blackfriars, Something Rotten (Nigel) at Festival 56, and Into the Woods (Baker) at SUNY Fredonia.
