Putnam will always have a special place in my heart. In 2019, I saw it performed on a wooden stage in Loveland Colorado. That was the first time I met either Brittany or Brandon as they were the ones who put it on. Then in 2021, I got the opportunity to perform it for my senior show as Vice Principal Panch.
And now five years after I first got to see it, I've been given the privilege to direct it with an amazingly talented group of kids. It has been a long journey full with a lot of pushing to get these guys to be the best versions of themselves for this show, but I think you'll agree when you see it that it paid off.
I would like to thank all of the cast and crew and their families for the amount of time and energy they have put into this show. I want to thank Brittany Grim, for giving me this opportunity and being behind me 100% for most of the things I do. Brandon Harrington, for his unwavering support. Patrick and his team for building the amazing set and bleachers. My best friends Lillie Pooler, John Kampf, and Keagan Buford for always having my back. Last but most certainly not least my family and my grandparents, Margaret and Andrew Smith ,who have had unwavering support in whatever I have chosen to do brings me true happiness.
Thank you and enjoy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! -Jamison 'Jam' Pike
