Director’s Note: A Letter from the Department of Improbable Erudition
Distinguished Guests and Fellow Scholars,
Welcome to an evening of profound intellectual vandalism. Tonight, we embark on a monumental, deeply unhinged academic experiment: condensing the entire Bardic canon into ninety minutes of pure, unadulterated panic.
Our serious scholarly objectives are as follows: Efficiency; We hope to save you hundreds of hours of reading by compressing thirty seven masterpieces into one frantic sprint. Authenticity; We hope to channel the true Elizabethan spirit, which was less "quiet museum" and more "loud, rowdy pub." Economy: We plan to maximize our prop-to-actor ratio using only plastic swords, terrible wigs, and sheer desperation.
High school English teachers are advised to lower their expectations immediately. History majors will find our timeline of the Roman plays highly offensive. If you came looking for deep existential truth, we apologize in advance for the golf clubs and cooking shows.
Tonight, we prove that Shakespeare is not a fragile artifact to be dusted—it is a playground.
Sit back, suspend your disbelief, and prepare your brains for maximum literary whiplash.

Meet the Company
Alexander Bonner
Alexander is pleased to be working with GSC again, having previously played roles in the productions of Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Julius Caesar and The Tempest. No stranger to NWI theater, his previous favorite credits include Macduff in both GSC and Chicago Streets' productions of Macbeth, Smee in 4th St Theater's production of Peter and the Star Catcher, Wadsworth in Clue on Stage at Laporte Little Theatre, and of course, Edgar Allan Poe in Nevermore at Holdcraft Players. Shakespeare will always be Alexander's favorite thing to perform. He is so privileged to be working with such amazing people (new and old friends alike) that have made this a wonderful experience to be a part of.
Breanne Knopf
Breanne Knopf is thankful to be performing again with GSC. Her most recent GSC roles have included Cassius (Julius Caesar) and Miranda (The Tempest). She appeared earlier this year as Woman 1 (Vagina Monologues, MOH) and Melissa/Meg/Wendy (Bad Auditions by Bad Actors, 4th Street Theatre). She thanks her GSC family for years of laughter and friendship. She will miss them greatly and hopes they know the significance they’ve held in her life (even the weird ones… Alex). She also thanks Dave for his support in an insane plan to do a show during their move to Indy. None have captured leaving as poetically as Shakespeare did in Winter’s Tale: [EXIT. PURSUED BY A BEAR.].
Rodney Clemmons
Rodney is so excited to be back performing with Gary Shakespeare! Previously, Rodney has performed with numerous theatres around Northwest Indiana, including A Midsummer Night's Dream and All's Well That Ends Well with Gary Shakespeare. Rodney just celebrated his one year wedding anniversary with his beautiful wife Danita. The couple has two pugs that are the goodest dogs. Rodney thanks his family for their unwavering support.
