Meet the Company

Addison Aultman

Ruth Putnam
Addison Aultman - Ruth Putnam Addison has displayed a keen passion for the arts since her early years. In 2016, she captured the hearts of audiences as Polly the Parrot in Black Beard the Pirate by Missoula Children’s Theater. Her commitment to her craft was evident when she took on ensemble acting roles in the Middlesex Elementary School Musicals in 2018 and 2019. By 2022, Addison had ventured into character modeling, brilliantly portraying Snow White and the Evil Queen for Spirit of Halloween. These experiences proved invaluable, as she once again, stepped into the shoes of Snow White in 2023, this time for the US Army’s Princess Brunch. At just 15 years of age, Addison’s diverse experiences in acting and modeling have set the stage for a promising career in the entertainment industry.

Emily Balog

Emily Balog - Conjuring Dancer / Mover Emily Balog is 14 years old this will be her fourth performance overall, her third performance with Player on High at Carlisle Theatre. She has a talent for doing movements and choreography. She has a plan to stay with Players on High for many more amazing performances with them!

Max Balog

Conjuring Dancer / Mover
Max Balog - Conjuring Dancer / Mover Max Balog is ten years old, and this is their third time performing with Players on High at the Carlisle Theatre. They have performed in, A Steampunk Christmas Carol, #I Will Be Your Voice, and most recently, The Crucible. They plan to do many more performances with Players on High.

Ashley Shade Byerts

Elizabeth Proctor
Ashley Shade Byerts - Elizabeth Proctor Ashley Shade Byerts is a professional actor, director, singer and playwright. A native of Berkeley Springs, WV, she graduated from West Virginia University in 2011 where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting Performance & Theatre. Since graduating, she has worked professionally on stage and in film as a director, actor, voice-over artist, and playwright, and has continued her study of Sanford Meisner’s Method of Acting since 2007. Her favorite roles include Abigail in Arthur Miller's The Crucible at The Greenbrier Valley Regional Theatre, Sondheim's Putting It Together at Mountain State Rep. Theatre, Cinna/Pindarus in Julius Caesar at West Virginia University, and in the Netflix Original House of Cards. She was most recently back on stage as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and has most recently directed Boogieban by D.C Fidler through Players on High at the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center. She teaches acting, singing, movement, stage combat, and improv theatre classes through ArtReach Harrisburg, writes educational theatre curriculum for K-12 with ArtsAlive!, and is currently touring her one-act bullying prevention play, CATCH, to public and private high schools in Pennsylvania. She is the Artistic Director at the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center, an Equity Membership Candidate, and an adjunct instructor of theatre at Dickinson College.

Audrey Caldwell

Audrey Caldwell - Tituba Audrey Caldwell is thrilled to be back in the theatre after a 15-year hiatus. She began gracing the stage at age 6 in school plays and musicals which continued through high school in productions like Fiddler on the Roof and Bye-Bye Birdie, into college with the Vagina Monologues and 12 Angry Jurors, and as an adult working in all roles from set design, to tech, to stage manager and asst. director at the Dayton Theatre Guild. Audrey also traveled to Dayton, OH area schools working with the improv comedy troupe, Smarty Pants Theatre Company. She is an active-duty Army spouse and in her spare time enjoys working out, board games, family time and the ever-addicting pickleball.

Cassandra Cherricks

Cassandra Cherricks - Conjuring Dancer / Mover Cassandra is a ninth-grader at Big Spring High School. She has been in past productions of Annie Get Your Gun and The Wizard of Oz where she was cast as a part of the ensemble for the high school musical. She was in the ensemble for Rodgers and Hammerstien's Cinderella at the Allenberry Playhouse last spring. Currently, she is a member of the Big Spring High School's concert choir and Acting Club. She would like to thank the Carlisle Players on High creative team, the cast and her family for supporting her.

Katy Clay

Ann Putnam
Katy Clay - Ann Putnam Katy is passionate about family, sailing, music and theater; she sings and plays guitar and accordion (Folk, Klezmer and Bluegrass). Theater-wise, she was involved in thirty productions from Jr/Sr high school to college in Minnesota, (acting directing and makeup) and in the late 1970s did stints with the Chicago Premier Society (e.g. playing a piece of cheese and the Red Duchess in “The Loneliest Monster” and Blind Bertha in “Cricket on the Hearth”); with Oregon Repertory Theater in Eugene, Oregon in the early 1980s, (Barbara Allen in “Dark of the Moon”). In 2013-16 at Shippensburg University, she played Isabelle (“Expecting Isabelle”) and the Clown (“Pagliacci Justice,” YonderSpeak festival). Most recently, Katy played Eleanor of Aquitaine in “Lion in Winter” (Little Theater of Mechanicsburg) and Penny Sycamore in “You Can’t Take It With You!” (Carlisle Theater). Delighted to play with the Carlisle theater folks again!

Debra Cornelius

Rebecca Nurse
Debra Cornelius - Rebecca Nurse Debra Cornelius is happy to make her seventh appearance with Players on High, this time as Rebecca Nurse and as Assistant Director of the production. A retired sociology professor who taught courses in collective behavior, Debra believes that The Crucible’s message of the perils of group fanaticism and prejudice and the courage of those who act against it continues to resonate in 2023.

Hadley D'Esopo

Sarah Good
Hadley D'Esopo - Sarah Good Hadley D'Esopo is so excited to be making her Players on High debut with this wonderful cast. Prior to joining Players on High, Hadley studied English and Theatre at Dickinson College. She was an active member of and performed with Dickinson College's Mermaid Players Theatre Club and the University of East Anglia's Drama and Musical Theatre Society. Outside of rehearsals, you can find her at The Trout Gallery working with students or at Denim Coffee.

Ellen Davis

Susanna Walcott
Ellen Davis - Susanna Walcott Ellen is thrilled to be performing as Susanna Wallcott in The Crucible! Previous theatre roles include Fan in A Steampunk Christmas Carol, Maddie in #iwillbeyourvoice, a Wickersham Brother in the Seussical Jr, and Eliza in The Shelling of Carlisle. She has also been an assistant stage manager student intern for Urinetown. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, and writing. She sincerely hopes you enjoy the performance!! :)

John Fitzgerald

John Fitzgerald - Francis Nurse Recently retired, Community Theatre fulfills John’s lifelong passion for storytelling via the performing arts. John spends his time catching up on decades of procrastinated reading and whatever else his wife Laurie puts on his extensive “Honey Do” list. John is blessed with five amazing, adult children, and 40 years of marriage with Laurie.

Margie Fry

Margie Fry - Conjuring Dancer / Mover A native of Newville, this is her 3rd performance with Players on High. She is pleased to help set the mood for the play as a mover/conjure. Also, she assisted with the costumes in this production. Margie has always valued the arts and is pleased to be a part of this wonderful cast.

Benjamin Greenberg

Judge Hathorne
Benjamin Greenberg - Judge Hathorne Benjamin Greenberg (Judge Hathorne) is happy to return to the stage after a year spent mostly behind the scenes with Players On High. He has worked on every mainstage show since the theatre reopened with Clue in 2021. His work behind the scenes includes co-directing You Can’t Take It With You with Ashley Shade Byerts and designing projections for The Secret Garden, Sleepy Hollow, and A Steampunk Christmas Carol (2022). He is probably best known for his performances as Bob Cratchit in A Steampunk Christmas Carol and Geoffrey in The Lion in Winter (Little Theatre of Mechanicsburg) and his short play, Pagliacci Justice.

Paige Harrell

Abigail Williams
Paige Harrell - Abigail Williams Paige is a junior at Carlisle High School and is so excited to be a part of this amazing show! This is her first performance at the Carlisle Theatre, and she's thrilled to be a part of this community! Paige is a military kid and has performed on stages all over the globe, most recently with Timber Creek's Falcon Theatre in Fort Worth, Texas and is an active participant in her school's wonderful Shakespeare Troupe. Her favorite roles include Catherine from Pippin and Pastry Chef Gangster from The Drowsy Chaperone. Alongside theatre, Paige also enjoys gardening, writing poetry, crocheting, and baking cookies! She'd also like to thank her family for their constant love and support, as well as the hours of lines run together and patiently listening to her ramble on about the 1690s. She has always loved "The Crucible" and is honored to be able to share that story with you.

Annie Hart

Annie Hart - Conjuring Dancer / Mover Annie is so excited to be making her Carlisle Theatre debut in one of her favorite plays, "The Crucible." Some of her favorite credits include being in the Manson Trio/Ensemble of "Pippin," Audrey in "Leading Ladies," Peggy in "Come Blow Your Horn," and the Ensemble of "Puffs." Annie would like to thank Ashley for giving her this opportunity, and the whole cast, crew, her friends and family for all of their love and support. She'd also like to thank her boyfriend Charles for his endless encouragement and all-around awesomeness. A special shout out to Mrs. Williams, Annie's 10th-grade English teacher who first introduced her to the Crucible.

Tanner Holtry

Hopkins
Tanner Holtry - Hopkins Tanner Holtry (Hopkins) is a young, but active, member of the local acting community. His first experience acting was in the 2022 performance of The Wizard of Oz at Big Spring High School. Later that year, he got the role of Colin Craven in The Secret Garden which was his first role at the Carlisle Theatre with Players on High. Steampunk Christmas Carol was his second role, voicing Boy Scrooge in the 2022 production. 2023 started with a role in I Will Be Your Voice written by Chris Kapp, followed by his first re-enactment performance in The Shelling of Carlisle. A lobby performer for Urinetown, and the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical Jr round out 2023's list. The Crucible will be Tanner's 8th performance.

Annabeth Hunt

Annabeth Hunt - Conjuring Dancer / Mover Annabeth Hunt is a sophomore at Carlisle High School. This is her first main season show at the Carlisle Theater. Annabeth has done musical theatre since she was 8 years old and is so excited to be a shadow dancer.

Dave Lang

Thomas Putnam
Dave Lang - Thomas Putnam Dave Lang is thankful for the opportunity to work with a talented group of actors in this challenging, thought-provoking play. This is Dave’s 12th production with Players on High and his 55th production overall. He has also performed locally at Hershey Area Playhouse, Upstart Arts, Forge Theater, Gettysburg Community Theater, The Micro Theatre at Broadway Tavern, and Lebanon Community Theater. Dave enjoys competitive ping-pong and is an avid board gamer. He studies vocal performance at Roger Lentz Studio.

Julie Lark

Julie Lark - Conjuring Dancer / Mover This is Julie's first time back on stage since high school. After a friend encouraged her to audition, she is thrilled to be part of The Crucible. Julie works as a Community Life Coordinator and currently resides in Newville.

R. J. Lesch

Reverend Parris
R. J. Lesch - Reverend Parris R. J. Lesch is delighted to be part of Carlisle Players On High. Here, R.J. Has portrayed Uncle Billy in It's a Wonderful Life, Elwood P. Dowd in Harvey, and Paul Sycamore in You Can’t Take It With You. R.J. has also directed The Importance of Being Earnest (radio), QED, and (with Ashley Shade Byerts) A Steampunk Christmas Carol. Previously, R. J. worked with Punchinello Players in St. Paul, MN, performing in The Time of Your Life and Our Town, and providing offstage support for several other shows. R.J. lives in Carlisle. He is an avid fencer and fencing coach, his specialty being sabre.

Miriam March

Conjuring Dancer / Mover
Miriam March - Conjuring Dancer / Mover Miriam is an 8th grader at Yellow Breeches Middle School. She has appeared as Alice in Matilda, Jr., the French Teacher in Mean Girls, Jr., and will be appearing as a member of the dance ensemble this fall in Shrek, Jr. Miriam is a Cadette Girl Scout and has been an active member of the organization for nine years. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and drawing.

Adam McKeehan

Ezekiel Cheever
Adam McKeehan - Ezekiel Cheever Adam McKeehan is thrilled to be making his Players on High debut in the role of Ezekiel Cheever. Favorite past credits include Les Misérables (Thénardier) and The Phantom of the Opera (André). Adam would like to thank the cast and crew for all of their support and hard work.

Tara Mead

Tara Mead - Conjuring Dancer / Mover This is Tara's third performance at the Carlisle Regional Performing Arts Center, debuting in Clue in 2021. Her most recent performance was in Dying 2 Kill You as part of the POH Murder Mystery Shows. Tara is no stranger to the stage, following performances at the Hershey Area Playhouse in It's a Wonderful Life and The Homecoming. She starred in a variety of productions in high school, including Lil' Abner, Our Miss Brooks and BoneChiller! and also sang in various music ensembles while attending the University of Connecticut. She would like to thank her family for their support and the entire cast and crew for their dedication and hard work in The Crucible!

Charles Miller

Willard
Charles Miller - Willard Charles Miller is a 21-year-old up-and-coming actor and writer. He hopes one day to be on Broadway and publish a novel he's been working on for five years now. This is his first show at the Carlisle Theater and he is very excited to do many more shows at the theater. He dedicates his performance as Willard in this production of The Crucible to his amazing girlfriend, Annie Hart.

Brad Mitchell

Giles Corey
Brad Mitchell - Giles Corey Brad Mitchell (Giles Corey) is new to Players on High with his appearance in The Crucible, and to *any* stage in nearly 50 years, having last trod the boards during college days. Brad’s re-engagement with acting comes after full retirement from a consulting career in information systems project management and business analysis and teaching and lecturing in those areas at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.

Alyanna Donna Montgomery

Alyanna Donna Montgomery - Conjuring Dancer / Mover / Dance Captain Alyanna Donna Montgomery (Dance Captain), a junior at Carlisle High School, is thrilled to be part of this amazing production. Past credits for Alyanna include Little Sally (Urinetown), Belle/Future Ghost (A Steampunk Christmas Carol), Dirk Vanderflat (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow), and Lady Macduff (Macbeth). Alyanna also does a variety of other performances and singing outside of theatre including Coffeehouses at CHS and participating in CHS’ Shakespeare Troupe. In any free time that they have, Alyanna spends it reading or drawing. Alyanna would like to thank Ashley and Deb for this amazing opportunity as well as Greta, their best friend, and their mom for getting them through everything.

Amanda Moore

Amanda Moore - Martha Corey Amanda Moore is thrilled to be part of her eighth Players on High production, but this is her first time on the Carlisle Theatre mainstage. After working backstage for many shows, most recently as Co-Stage Manager for Urinetown: The Musical, Stage Manager for You Can't Take It With You, and Head Production Assistant for A Steampunk Christmas Carol, she is excited to try a new role in the Theatre. She would like to thank Catie MO for her encouragement in all of her theatre endeavors, and her husband and three children for their support of her on this new path.

Hadley Qualls

Hadley Qualls - Mary Warren Hadley Qualls, a junior at Harrisburg Academy, is excited to be returning to the Carlisle Theatre stage with The Players on High. Some of Hadley’s favorite theatrical credits include Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey), The Secret Garden (Mary Lennox), A Steampunk Christmas Carol (Ghost of Christmas Past), School of Rock (Tomika Spencer-Williams), Urinetown: The Musical (Ensemble/Little Sally u/s), Bonnie and Clyde (Blanche Barrow), and Alien8 (Anna Warren). Hadley would like to thank the cast and crew for their hard work, her parents for their support, and her voice teacher, Ashley Byerts, for her training and encouragement.

Isabelle Reed

Mercy Lewis
Isabelle Reed - Mercy Lewis Isabelle Reed (Mercy) is excited to be in her first Mainstage Production with Players on High after playing “Mayzie” in Seussical, Jr. this summer. She has been onstage since age 4 participating in Boiling Springs High School and Yellow Breeches Middle School productions. She has performed in the ensemble of 3 Allenberry Christmas Shows, and “Gypsy” as well as 1 Murder Mystery Weekend. Currently, she is also preparing to play “Nick Bottom” in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Isabelle enjoys singing, French, running spotlight, Shakespeare, and playing with her pets. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support especially her brother, Alister, for driving her to rehearsals.

Kaelyn Rinehart

Betty Parris
Kaelyn Rinehart - Betty Parris Kaelyn Rinehart is a 7th-grade student at Saint Patrick School and is excited to be on the Carlisle Theater stage for the first time. This is Kaelyn's 9th show since she started acting, two years ago. Some of her favorite roles include Snow White (Snow White), Rainbow Fish (Rainbow Fish), Matilda (Matilda, Jr.) and Cat (Edgar Allen Poe Afterlife Radio Show). Off the stage, Kaelyn plays violin, sings in the choir, and has been working on her skateboard tricks. Kaelyn is looking forward to many more shows at the Carlisle Theater.

Aedan Shevlin

Aedan Shevlin - Reverend Hale Aedan Shevlin is a senior at Carlisle High School. He is happy to return to the Carlisle Theatre stage having played Fred in last year's “A Steampunk Christmas Carol”, but he is no stranger to the stage. He has performed in Footloose at the high school as Ren McCormack and as Macduff in Macbeth. He would like to thank his parents and friends for their endless support in his performances.

Rick Sollman

Judge Danforth
Rick Sollman - Judge Danforth Rick is elated to be in another Players on High production after debuting in A Steampunk Christmas Carol last year, then performing in You Can't Take It With You, The Shelling of Carlisle, and Urinetown. The resident dramaturg, Rick teaches history by day and enjoys exploring his adopted home in Carlisle with his wife Tara with their kids Livy & Hank and beloved aunt/Momo Bev & mom/Grandma Gail (not to mention Game Night with the Moore’s!)
