To be here presenting this show is a dream come true to us. This is a very personal story, but I hope that in some way, you've seen a little bit of yourself in it. 

Our aim is to keep this show growing, bring it to other theatres throughout the spring, and hopefully, get to Edinburgh this summer!

Chiara Fumanti

Eva

Cofounder of Stage Leftovers, Chiara trained in Musical Theatre, before achieving an MA in Creative Writing in 2022. Previous credits include, among others, Sweeney Todd (Edinburgh Fringe), Pinocchio (UK & Ireland tour) & The King’s secret (London tour). Writing-wise, she has co-authored and co-edited the anthology High Salvage, as well as co-writing (in 4 days!) the rehearsed reading Mad:. Chiara is ecstatic to be making her playwriting and producing debut with The Extraordinary Life of a Rat Racer.

Andrea Guerini

Arthur

A proud Italian, trained in Rome, not a gladiator, yet. Andrea has performed and studied around the globe, including Belgium, Spain, Hungary, Norway, USA and Canada, where he won the award for “Best Supporting Actor” at Liverpool International Theatre Festival in 2024. Co-founder of Stage Leftovers, he is thrilled to be making his directing debut with The Extraordinary Life of a Rat Racer.

Garth Oates

Assistant Producer

Garth is a working class writer and director from Kent with over fourteen years of experience in film and theatre. Trained at Fourth Monkey, Rose Bruford, and Central Film School, he’s written and directed six short films and three Off-West End shows. Winner of the Standing Ovation Award for Comedy at the Camden Fringe for Borrowed Time, he’s now in post-production for his debut feature, Life's a Beach — a hilarious British comedy with heart.
