Plot Summary:
The comedic play tells the story of a student named Micah (Madeleine Gauldie) who struggles to complete her essay on The Great Gatsby because, like many of us, she is constantly bombarded by the Internet, except in this world everything from Wikipedia to Google is very much alive and transformed into actors on stage. This relatable play will make you laugh and consider how much time we spend online.
Director's Note:
After the December break, I was not sure we would be able to have a show because of the continuing obstacles of the pandemic. However here we are today, able to meet in person and enjoy a show once more in the theatre. With limited time, the cast has met every Wednesday since March Break to rehearse the play. Their continued dedication to the production has demonstrated their commitment and passion for the arts. This play is a tribute to the struggle of balancing the online world and real life. I hope that you enjoy our show and remember that theatre has the power to make us laugh, reflect on our own lives and sometimes both!
