A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR:
From the moment that I saw The Lightning Thief was a musical, I was enchanted. I’ve read the books and seen the movies and have always loved mythology. Combine that with a rock score and some plucky teens and I was sold! It was a joy to bring to life the most popular story from one of the most popular young adult authors of this generation.
Woven into the fabric of Percy’s Epic Quest are the relatable themes of acceptance, overcoming adversity, finding your strength and slaying those monsters- both inside your head and in the real world. One of my favorite songs, Strong, features a lyric that resonates with all of us on the team- the notion that “normal is a myth” and “the very things that make you different are the things that make you special and strong, so be strong”.
Our show has a campy, recycled, “let’s put on a play in the backyard” kind of feel and that is intentional. We invite you to take a trip into imagination as you see leaf blowers blowing toilet paper as tidal waves, make-shift vehicles, improvised costumes, sock puppets and the like.
Laugh, cry, and cheer wherever appropriate and have fun right along with us as we take you on our Hero’s Quest!

Anthony Raimondi
Hi!!! I'm Anthony and I am your Percy Jackson! I love Roblox, Animals, Video Games, and acting! Oh I also loveee money so much. The Lightning Thief is my second ever show, my first one being last years “ high School Musical" where I played Zeke Baylor. I hope I do SO GOOD!
Casey Cribbin
Casey has been acting for a very long time. She is going onto her 7th year as an actress. She debut as a cheerleader in High school Musical Junior in 2016. She continued her journey in many different roles such as a zebra in the Lion King Jr., Narrator in Beauty and the Beast Jr., Maygar in Mulan Jr., The snow chorus in Frozen Jr., Jack´s Mother in Into the woods, and Sharpay Evans in High School Musical. She is extremely excited for the show and wishes the whole cast and crew good luck!
Marisiya Goins
Hello Mortals! My name is Marisiya Goins and I’m a freshman who is super excited to be playing Grover in this years production of Percy Jackson. You may have seen me on the stage before as Lavender (Matilda), Sally (Charlie Brown), Moana (Moana), Wednesday (Addams Family), Young Kangaroo (Sussical), Olaf (Frozen), and Mushu (Mulan). As you can probably guess I love musical theatre, being on stage, and performing for every“baah”dy (Sorry about that, the goat in me comes out every once in a while!) Making this production has truly been a blast and good luck to the entire cast and crew! For all the squirrels out there,”squetty squeak squeak” and the human translation enjoy the show!
Brian Test
Brian is so excited to STEAL the show in this year's production. Brian has done theatre for many years and has been in many previous shows such as High School Musical, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, and much more. Brian loves to play video games but most of all can’t wait to perform beside his best friends.
Hailey Corvino
Hailey Corvino has participated in several shows and is very excited to play Clarisse in Manchester's production of The Lightning Thief. In her free time she loves to keep active and plays for the Manchester volleyball and softball team. She's personally trained in hand to hand combat and is a brown belt for Evolution Martial Arts.
Dylan Delmonico
Dylan is very excited and feeling bittersweet to be in his 4th and final MTHS Production. For MTHS, Dylan held the role of Pastor Bruno in Freaky Friday,The Mysterious Man in Into the woods and Mr.Darbus in High School Musical On Stage. His list of prior theater experience includes MTMS Alice in Wonderland (Royal Cardsmen,Ensemble), Beauty and the Beast Jr(narrator 2)and Aladdin Jr (Sultan). Dylan also performed in MTST productions The Lion King Jr (hyena army,Banzi understudy), Mulan Jr(Hun/Subar Tu) and Frozen JR(The Bishop) . Dylan wants to thank his family and friends for their support and wish his castmates an amazing show. Dylan is grateful for all the friends he has made in the Drama Club where he serves as vice president.
Megan Smith
Megan Smith is a Junior vocalist at the Performing Arts Academy, and is so excited to be a part of another production at Manchester. Her past credits include High School Musical (Kelsi), PAA Winter/Spring Showcase (Vocalist), PAA Chorale (Vocalist), etc. Megan had so much fun rehearsing with the Manchester Drama club these past two years and can’t wait to be part of future performances with this cast. She knows everyone will be incredible in The Lightning Thief, break legs!
Owen Jeffers
Owen Jeffers. Owen is a Junior at Manchester Township High School. This is Owen's first year in drama club but did have the opportunity last year to perform with the marching band drumline in "High School Musical." Owen has embraced every aspect of his roles and has worked very hard at memorizing and practicing. Aside from drama, Owen enjoys playing the bass guitar and bowling. Owen is very excited for his friends and family to come see him.
Samantha Ruggiero
Samantha is a senior at MTHS, girls varsity wrestler, and has no idea what she’s doing, but is super excited to be here.
Ms. Vecchione
Ms. Vecchione is super excited to return to the Hawk stage and is greatly honored to join this year’s production. Attending Broadway shows, supporting local theater, and serving as a member of the International Thespian Society, H.S. South chapter, has lead Ms. Vecch to having no money … but a bank full of memories and experiences. She would like to Thank the students of the MTHS Theater Department for the opportunity to star alongside them. “Act well your part, for there all the honor lies” -W.S. GO HAWKS!
Molly Pease
Molly Pease is a Freshman at the Performing Arts Academy. Some past shows she has been in is Manchester Recreation in Matilda Jr. (Tammy) Moana Jr. (Left Claw), and Frozen Jr. (Oaken Family). When Molly isn’t on stage she is busy clowning around as Daisy the Clown working in the family entertainment company Premier Picnics and Parties, or she is singing on the Worship team at Proving Ground church and also part of the Ocean Grove Worship Collective, or dancing at Avenue to Broadway for twelve years. Molly thanks her Mom, Dad and family for their support and knows all things are possible thru God.

Hello my name is nahiara and i’m a sophomore and I love sports. I play field hockey,basketball,and softball. I also spend my time doing drama . Since I was little I always wanted to be a actress even though now i want to be a doctor I still wanted to make my little self proud.

Sadie Malden
Sadie is a sophomore and really looking forward to this year's spring production of The Musical Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief . She was also in last year’s school production of High School Musical. Outside of school Sadie studied at Cinematique Acting and Film School. She is in her second year of VOTECH where she is studying Introduction to Multimedia. In her free time, Sadie likes to read, write stories, sing and spend time with her family and friends.
