Director's Note
When we first picked up The Seussification of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, we knew we were in for an exciting adventure. Shakespeare’s tangled tale of love and mischief meets the whimsical world of Dr. Seuss. What we didn’t know then was just how much creativity, and teamwork this production would inspire over the past several months.
Directing this show has been a shared adventure. With two student directors, we’ve leaned into collaboration, bouncing ideas, and solving problems through all the chaos. It’s a true testament to what theater is all about; community, creativity, and the courage to try something unexpected.
This play asks a lot of its performers; rhyming verse, physical comedy, and fast paced timing. Our actors have risen to the occasion with enthusiasm, embracing the absurdity and silliness of the show.
As our audience watches our show, we hope they will be swept up in the rhythm, the rhyme, and the magic of the performance. Enjoy the show, and thank you for supporting North Branch Area High School’s theater department!
