Director’s Message
Welcome to "Disney's The Little Mermaid!"
I’m thrilled to share this magical journey with you, and couldn’t be prouder of our talented cast and crew. Everyone has worked tirelessly to bring this world to life in a way that’s both enchanting and full of heart.
At its core, "Disney's The Little Mermaid" is about finding your voice, embracing change, and following your dreams. These are timeless themes that feel especially relevant today. Ariel’s courage and determination remind us to be brave, and to never stop chasing what we believe in. The internet tells me that Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Ariel’s story is a perfect example of this, as she boldly steps into the unknown to follow her heart.
This production is a celebration of creativity and teamwork. Our designers, crew, and performers have poured their hearts into creating a production that we hope will transport you to an underwater world filled with wonder and adventure.
Thank you for joining us today. Now, let’s dive into the magic and enjoy the journey under the sea!
Oliver Pavia
Artist Director, "Disney's The Little Mermaid"
Message from the Board
Welcome to our performance of “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.” We thank you for once again supporting local community theatre, and we look forward to your support for many more years to come.
RCMPI is a volunteer-run organization, and this show would not be possible without the countless hours of volunteer time that goes into putting a production onto the stage. Each piece of scenery, stage prop, and hand-made costume have been lovingly worked on by a large team of volunteers that work magically in the background to make the Disney magic come to life. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to extend a round of applause to the whole cast and crew for making the spectacle you are about to see a reality.
We invite you to support RCMPI by purchasing a 50/50 ticket in the lobby, or making a bid on our Silent Auction. The funds we raise will go towards the cost of “Keeping the Stage Lights On.” We have been entertaining you in the Royal City since 1979, and we hope to be around for many more years to come.
We have another Junior Show coming up in February 2025, “Flat Stanley Jr.,” which is specifically for youth cast between the ages of 8 – 14 years. They are the future of RCMPI. Also, our April show in 2025 will be “Legally Blonde.” Get your tickets early for both shows, see our programme or website for details.
You can stay involved with RCMPI by following us on social media (@rcmpi), supporting us financially by becoming a member of RCMPI, or by making a donation which would be eligible for an income tax receipt. All details can be found at www.rcmpi.ca.
We hope that you will enjoy our show, and will continue to be “Part of our World.”
