Director's Note
Stripped of everything besides skin and soul, how do we survive?
Yet again, our Greek ancestors are begging us to answer questions that reach greater than our existence. The Persians, at large, emphasizes a cycle we are all too familiar with today: hope, loss, and rebuilding. With every repetition of the cycle we must reevaluate what has brought us to the beginning again and how to best move forward.
To place WWIII on the same microscopic lens, we are forced to recognize an event that looms in the back of our minds and attempt to answer that essential question, how do we survive? How can we possibly survive from something so devastating? There are no right answers to this question, only our own solutions. It is all of our jobs to find them and embed them into our beings, into our relationships and communities. The Play we offer to you today has been a collective effort to answer that question, to provide our solution to the problem.
