Cross Woodfield

Cross Woodfield (they/he/any) is thrilled to be returning for their sixth QA&P production! Previous roles include Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hunter in title of show, Feste in Twelfth Night, and co-host of Qabaret. Outside of theater, Cross spends most of their time listening to small children talk about big feelings, building plants out of Legos, and discussing the mysteries of the universe with a munchkin cat named Sweetness.

Alana McDermott

Alana McDermott is so thrilled to be making her QA&P debut in one of her favorite musicals! She is a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music where they studied vocal performance and songwriting. Some other fun roles on her resume include Donna (Mamma Mia), Jo (Little Women), and Cinderella (Into the Woods). In addition to performing in theatre, Alana has been working on their mad scientist persona songwriting project “OC,” a sci-fi, dark cabaret that explores the human psyche. A big thank you to all of her friends and family! Enjoy the show— and don’t forget to pay your fee to pee.

Aurora La Veglia

Aurora La Veglia (she/they) is a former theatre kid and current lesbian. She grew up performing as often as time would allow between the ages of 8 and 22. Notable roles include: Queen Aggravain (Once Upon a Mattress), Elizabeth Proctor (The Crucible), and The Sour Kangaroo (Seussical). Less notable roles include: Tornado (The Wizard of Oz), Enchanted Gate (Beauty and the Beast), and Woman #3 (Annie). In January of 2025, one internet search for "gay theatre near me" lead Aurora to Queer Artists & Players and right back onstage after a 6-year hiatus. Aurora hopes their performance inspires lesbians everywhere to audition for the leading male role!

Layne Alexandra

Layne Alexandra (they/she) obtained their MFA in Musical Theatre from Boston Conservatory and their BA in Musical Theatre from Seton Hill University and lives to tell the tale. Notable roles include: Kathy Selden in Singin' in the Rain, Logainne Schwartzy in The 25th Annual...Spelling Bee, Ariel in The Tempest, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, and Elizabeth Lavenza in Frankenstein. This is Layne’s 11th production with QA&P and they are the current Vice President of the board. They co-founded Q-Sketch here at QA&P, so they could have SNL at home with their friends! Layne dedicates this performance to Kraft Mac n Cheese and her sweet cat, Kabuki Louise. :) Go piss girl!

Ellen Scarano

Ellen Scarano (she/her) is a music educator and musical theatre performer. She is a 2025 Berklee College of Music graduate, and is based in the Boston area. Her most recent credits include Grace Chasity in “Nerdy Prudes Must Die” with Play Pretend Theater Company! Ellen is excited to be involved in her 5th production at the BCA Plaza Theatre. Ellen is so honored to work with the amazing people at QA&P and can’t wait to share Hope Cladwell with you. Welcome to Urinetown (the musical) as we work to bring about a new age… of Hope! 

Emmalyn Zeppi

Emmalyn is thrilled to be in her first QA&P production in a show that is near and dear to her heart! She holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Berklee College of Music and currently works with babies and toddlers, singing songs that are much easier than the music in Urinetown (i.e. The Wheels on the Bus, If You’re Happy and You Know It). Emmalyn has been involved in theater for 10 years, with some of her favorite roles including Emberly in Starkid’s Firebringer, Ensemble in Young Frankenstein, and various original works as both cast member and creative team. She would like to thank her partner, Cole, for pushing her to audition for this show, and her cat, Margo, for being her scene partner as she practices her lines. Thank you for supporting local, queer art!

Kelly Walsh

Kelly Walsh (they/them) is so excited to be making their return to musical theater with their first QA&P production! Back in high school, they were involved in theater for their entire HS career, with their favorite role being Grandma Berthe in Pippin (2021). Since graduating from Northeastern University in 2025, they’ve been continuously attempting to integrate all things music and poetry into their post-grad life. They were very involved in music throughout college, with their magnum opus being opening for Sarah Kinsley in 2024 at Northeastern’s campus! Their biggest goal for themselves this year was to step out of their comfort zone and try something again - theater - and it’s been quite a while! This has been such a rewarding process and they are so grateful to the company and staff for all of their hard work. It’s a privilege to pee! 

Tia Austin

Tia Austin is excited to journey down to Urinetown (the musical not the place).  Her former roles include Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors, Richie in A Chorus Line, and The Leading Player in Pippin. This is her first production post grad school and she’s excited to make her QA&P debut!

Anish Nakahara

Anish Nakahara (he/they) is excited to be in their first QA&P production! Born and raised in Hawai’i, he is grateful to family and friends from both homes, near and far. Anish’s theatre experience spans more than a decade, including musicals, straight plays, directing, and various tech departments. They thank you for celebrating the arts and belief that people should pee free. On with the show!

Mia Kania

Mia Kania (they/she) is an urban planner by day and a high flying soprano by night. They have worked with a variety of local theaters, most recently as Chad Danforth in High Skewl Musical (Plastic Theatrics), and the Doctor and various roles in Matilda the Musical (Footlight Club). She is excited to be working with QA&P on this goofy and (frustratingly) relevant show!

Morgan M. Potter

Morgan M. Potter (they/she) is delighted to be returning to the stage and making their debut with QA&P. Favorite credits include Various Characters in The Vagina Monologues, Shoemaker’s Elf in Shrek the Musical, Éponine in Les Misérables, and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the Musical. She holds a BFA in Music Therapy from Shenandoah Conservatory with ambitions to pursue a Master’s in a related field in 2027. She would like to dedicate her performance to the cast and crew. “Words fail to describe how honored I am to be here and to be sharing queer theater with you all amongst such incredible artists. Thank you for coming and enjoy the show!”

EZRA

EZRA (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist and performer.

Aster

Aster (they/them) works in a library and has a PhD in English literature from Cardiff University, which they completed while living in Wales after working abroad as an English teacher in different countries. Aster also has a music background, playing alto saxophone, piano, guitar, singing, and writing songs. They joined Queer Artists & Players in summer 2024 and roles have included Theseus in The Rude Mechanicals, Alonso in The Tempest, and writing and acting in Q-Sketch and the 48-hour festival. They are very grateful to the many people who made this show possible, and would also like to thank their mom for teaching them how to play piano.

L Lakea

L Lakea (she/they) is happy to return to musical theatre after a 10-year hiatus. Previous roles include The Baker in Into the Woods, Brian/Lead Tenor in The Producers, Clown #2 in The 39 Steps, and Old Man Strong in Urinetown (#transitiongoals). They have also performed at ImprovBoston (All Access/Indie Showcase). Outside of theatre, L is a programmer, game developer, Japanese learner, and horror enthusiast.

Allan MacTaylor

Allan MacTaylor is a music teacher from Salem, Massachusetts and is thrilled to be in his first show with Queer Artists & Players. Allan has spent the past four years music directing for the theatrical program at Salem High School, as well as directing their a cappella group, "WitchPitch?". His other recent theatrical experiences include roles in The Great Gatsby and Tuck Everlasting as well as stage managing for Something Rotten all at Marblehead Little Theater. Allan is excited to be performing with Queer Artists & Players and is looking forward to showing people this wonderful show.

Noah Turner

Noah Turner is excited to take the stage in his first production with QA&P. Some of his previous shows include Rent (Tom Collins), Sister Act (Eddie Souther), Dreamgirls (C.C. White) and Once on this Island (Agwe). Noah attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, where he earned an Associate’s degree in Musical Theatre. He’d like to thank his friends and family for their unwavering support; and a special shoutout to QA&P and his fellow cast mates for welcoming him with open arms. 

Aidan Butler

Aidan Butler is an actor, writer, and theatre maker who is excited to be in his first musical! A graduate of UMass Boston's Theatre Arts program in 2025, Aidan still considers himself new to theatre at large, but can't wait to keep making bigger and better things. Recent credits include Capitano in Who Do You Love: A Commedia Del'Arte show, and Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher.

Yahaira Torres

Yahaira Torres (she/her) is a recent graduate of Bridgewater State University with a BA in Theatre Arts. Some previous roles include Fraulein Kost (Cabaret), Red (Late; A Cowboy Song), Fran (Carrie Goes to Horror High), Marie Antoinette (Marie Antoinette), Ensemble (Spamalot), and Heather Chandler (Heathers: The Musical). In addition to acting, Yahaira is also a Front of House Manager and Lighting Designer at the Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center in Foxboro, Massachusetts. 

Jacob Lee Kanupp

Jacob Lee Kanupp (Any/All) is a versatile artist and educator with experience in musical theatre, opera, and barbershop. They work throughout New England as a voice teacher, stage director, musical director, choir director, singer, actor, writer, composer/arranger, and cat papa. Recent projects include Expedition Five
(Writer/Director) and Sing It Strong (Writer/Director). As a performer he's portrayed roles such as Don Pizzaro in Fidelio, the title role in Sweeney Todd, Older Thompson in Glory Denied, and Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid. He currently serves as the director of Sounds of the Seacoast, an award-winning women's barbershop chorus in Portsmouth, NH. He also maintains a private voice studio based in Salem, MA. He holds a M.M. in Vocal Pedagogy from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, as well as his B.M. with a double major in Vocal Performance and Music Theory & Composition from Trevecca University.

Adrien Callahan

Adrien is a filmmaker and screenwriting professor whose passion for theatre is kept alive through QA&P. He is proud to have been recently elected to the QA&P Board as Archivist. Previous roles with QA&P include: The Tempest (stage manager), Q-Sketch: Silly Goose Inc (actor and writer), 48-Hour One-Act Festival (director and writer), Qabaret: Constellations (performer), and The Rude Mechanicals Showcase (actor). He would like to thank the Brighton Baddies for the commute companionship and the rest of the creative team for putting their faith in him. 

Reagan Rademacher

Reagan Rademacher (she/they) obtained her BM in Music Therapy from Colorado State University in 2023. She engages in the music world through actively practicing as a music therapist, singing in community choirs, and turning her life into a musical by singing and dancing in every opportunity. They are sending a huge shout-out to their queer sports family, who help her challenge stereotypes by showing that someone can be both a theater gay and a sports gay!

Rebecca Sarin

Rebecca Sarin has performed with QA&P in Qabaret: Dance Revolution and Qabaret: Constellations. The first full-length musical she choreographed was a student production of Big Fish at University of Rochester, and she is thrilled to have had the opportunity to do it a second time!

JB

JB is proud to be producing for the first time this year with Queer Artists & Players. She has been acting , singing, and dancing since she joined Kidstock at 6 years old.  JB was in QA&P's first production as Philostrate in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Since that time, in addition to being a triple threat, she has stage managed, written for Q-Sketch, and been on the board as QA&P has grown into the organization it is today.

JB is currently the president of Queer Artists & Players and succeeds due to the support of her fellow board members, cast, crew, and viewers like you. Thank you.

Gretchen “gotta pee” Waldorf

gretchen “gotta pee” waldorf (she/any) holds a theatre performance degree from Guilford College. She loves to be onstage but will not sing earnestly in front of an audience! Past behind-the-scenes credits include: Scenic Charge for Smell of the Kill, Scenic Designer for Dog Sees God, ASM for Working!, Costume Designer for Cinderella. She is passionate about making the world laugh and is dedicating this and every other show of her life to her parents, especially her mother, who has never missed a single show she’s been involved with. <3 

Aubrey Krebs

Aubrey is a youth development specialist, professional gamerunner, experienced puzzlemaker, and emerging theater nerd. She's been with Queer Artists & Players for one year, though this is her first time behind the scenes on a largescale theater production. Previous roles include the smarmy dungeon master from our DnD inspired take on The Tempest, director for QA&P's most recent 48-Hour one act festival, director and cohost of A Good Set of Pipes, and, of course, Dale from Home Depot. Aubrey's main accomplishments in life are that she makes a mean chicken tortilla soup and that she has completed every research task in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Selena Groh

Selena Groh (she/her) has always loved theatre, and discovered Tech through an ill-fated turn as costume designer of her 8th grade musical Willy Wonka. She found her calling to stage management in college, where she worked on over a dozen productions in various roles and earned the award for "Sexiest Spreadsheets." With the pandemic and full time work, she truly thought she would not be able to stage manage again, and thus is extremely grateful to Queer Artists & Players for creating an accessible volunteer theatre space. She is overjoyed to be stage managing her first production in 7 years, and would like to thank her friends, family, and partner Jack for supporting her as she rearranged her life for five months and over a hundred hours of rehearsal, scheduling, meetings, and emails. She dedicates this show to all those who fight to ensure public goods remain open to all people, to use for free whenever they like, as much as they like, for as long as they like, with whomever they like.

Maddy Dushay

Maddy Dushay (she/her) graduated college in 2012 with a BA in Theater and Drama, a BA in Musical Theater, and an AA in Technical Theater from Johnson State College. She went on to use those degrees professionally for several years before her career pivoted into education and childcare. She has since graduated from Lesley University with an MEd in Elementary Education with a concentration in Creative Arts in Learning and has worked professionally as a nanny for over a decade. She is thrilled to be working on her 3rd production with QA&P and hopes to be involved in many more to come. 

Robert Isaacson

This is Robert’s first time working with QA&P, and hopefully not the last!  Selected highlights from his 30+ year fight directing career include Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Julius Caesar (The Hanover Theatre Repertory), Baskerville, Dial M for Murder, Boeing Boeing (Peterborough Players), Parade, The House of Ramon Iglesia (Moonbox Productions), Cinderella (Open Door Theater), Macbeth, True West, She Kills Monsters (Merrimack College), Wait Until Dark (The Footlight Club). Robert is also a member of SAG-AFTRA, a Taekwondo black belt, and will talk endlessly about his dogs.

Correy Denihan

Correy Denihan (he/him) is a self-taught freelance prop and set designer working in the Greater Boston Area. He loves to build anything he can get his hands on and some favorite past shows include: The Little Mermaid Jr (Prop Design; The Young Company @ Greater Boston Stage Company), The Tempest (Prop Design & Technical Direction; Queer Artists & Players), and Qabaret: Constellations (Weapons Designer; Queer Artists & Players.) When not making things for the stage, he is inevitably creating other items either for himself, his friends, or his plants and can'tstopwon'tstop learning new materials and mediums so he can continue to build even cooler things in the future.

Jonathan Rooney

Jonathan Rooney (he/him) is thrilled to be making his QA&P debut with a show that is near and dear to his heart—it was the first musical he ever lit, in 2012, when he was a junior in high school! He went to school in Boston for engineering and promptly became a freelance theatre technician and designer. Select lighting design credits include The Spongebob Musical, Honk! (Newton School District), The F&L at 1330 (Moonbox), Shrek the Musical (Magic Circle), and Kin (Tufts); along with scenic design for Assassins (Tufts), Mean Girls, Beetlejuice Jr., and Hadestown (Greasepaint Theater, ariZoni award nom.). Jonathan returns to Boston after a two-year absence and is so thankful to the QA&P community for welcoming him back into the theatre fold!

Emily Gheewalla

Emily Gheewalla (she/her) is thrilled to be sound designing another QA&P show! Previous sound design credits include: The Tempest, Speech & Debate, The Realistic Joneses, Bull In A China Shop, and Mr Burns: A Post-Electric Play (Winning design of the Tufts Department of Theatre and Performance Studies “Best Sound Design” award). A software developer by day and a self-proclaimed “Troy Bolton” by night, Emily can be found spouting theatre trivia while winning gold medals with her queer dodgeball team or watching the PWHL playoffs during the intermission of Schmigadoon.

Chloe/Clover Brown

Chloe (they/them) studied costume design at Carnegie Mellon University and held various technical and acting roles through the campus theatre troupe, Scotch'n'Soda. Notable costume credits include Sender (CMU School of Drama), Into the Woods, The Death of Don Juan, and Carrie. They also served as Scotch'n'Soda's costume shop manager for two years. Clover dedicates these designs to their cat, Penny, who really believed that the costume pieces were new beds just for her.

Katie Loughrey

Katie Loughrey (she/they) is excited to return to theater for the first time in a long time for their first production with QA&P. Previously they have been involved in productions of The Sound of Music, Annie and The Miracle Worker. When she’s not figuring out the most effective way to simulate urination onstage, she might be found crushing bar trivia with friends, thrifting her next Halloween costume or at home lounging with her familiar, Ripley.

Sasha Tekeian

Sasha Tekeian (she/her) has been doing tech for shows since high school and has been very glad to get back to into it with QA&P.  Favorite shows include: In The Heights, West Side Story, Scenes from Angels in America Part One (scenic and prop construction, run crew), Macbeth (outdoors in an arboretum; set design, run crew), QA&P's The Tempest (set design).  She is very glad that incognito mode exists for some of the research that this show’s props required. :P

Steven Weiss

Steven Weiss (he/him) graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music (Film Scoring), and his recent credits include sound design for Nerdy Prudes Must Die and composing for the immersive entertainment studio Midnight Mansion. An avid escape room enthusiast, he loves Jeopardy!, cooking, and will definitely rant about every character in the musical Cats if given the chance. 

Savannah Paul

Savannah is excited to join the crew for QA&P’s first major musical. Savannah is a seasoned QA&P veteran, appearing in every Qabaret, Much Ado About Nothing, the Good Set of Pipes benefit concert, and the 2026 48 Hour One Act Festival. She first fell in love with Urinetown years ago when she played Officer Barrel and understudied for Hope Cladwell in a hometown production. This time around, Savannah is excited to help bring the magic alive in a different capacity and support the amazing cast and crew. Outside of the theatre world, Savannah enjoys gymnastics, solo travel, karaoke, concerts, and bothering her feline daughter, Fiona. Mark Hollmann

Mark Hollmann received the Tony Award®, the National Broadway Theatre Award, and the Obie Award for his score to Urinetown the Musical, which had its start in the 1999 New York International Fringe Festival. It won Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and Lucille Lortel Awards for best musical in addition to garnering 10 Tony Award® nominations. Other shows as composer/lyricist include Yeast Nation (2011 New York International Fringe Festival, Perseverance Theatre, American Theatre Company, and Ray of Light Theatre), Bigfoot and Other Lost Souls (Atlantic Stage and Perseverance Theatre), The Man in the White Suit(New York Stage and Film), The Girl, the Grouch, and the Goat (University Theatre, U. of Kansas), Alchemist the Musical (Seattle Fringe Festival), Jack the Chipper(Greenview Arts Center, Chicago), Kabooooom!(University Theater, U. of Chicago), I Think I Can and Deal with It! (Berkshire Theatre Festival), and Fare for All (Mount Vernon Hotel Museum & Garden, NYC). Actor and/or co-writer for the Cardiff Giant Theater (Chicago) productions The Rack, Theater of Funny, The Mercy Ripper, LBJFKKK, Love Me, All Eight Die, and After Taste, the last of which he also directed. TV: songs for Disney Channel's Johnny and the Sprites. He has served on the Tony Nominating Committee, serves on the Council of the Dramatists Guild of America, and is a member of ASCAP. He is also a member of Sure Foundation Lutheran Church in Woodside, Queens, where he serves as a part-time pianist. He and his wife Jilly live in Manhattan with their sons, Oliver and Tucker.

Greg Kotis

Greg Kotis wrote the book and co-wrote the lyrics for URINETOWN THE MUSICAL, for which he won two Tony Awards in 2002. His new play, PIG FARM, opened at The Roundabout Theatre in New York City and at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in 2006. Currently, he is developing two new musicals with Mark Hollmann: YEAST NATION (the triumph of life), an original story that tells the tale of the dawn of life on Earth, and THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT, a musical version of the 1951 Alec Guiness film. Other plays include EAT THE TASTE (at New York's Barrow Street Theatre), JOBEY AND KATHERINE, BARON von SIEBENBURG MELTS THROUGH THE FLOORBOARDS, and GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT. Greg lives in Brooklyn with his wife Ayun, his daughter India, and his son Milo.
