Tom is excited to finally open the 2021-2022 season. It’s been an arts management challenge over the past 18 months but, we’re back!!. As the Artistic/Managing Director of DCT since 1983, Tom is going to enjoy this season as he looks forward to his retirement in June of 2022. Professor Tom came to CCBC (formerly Dundalk Community College) in 1975 and has enjoyed a 47 year teaching career. He thanks DCT audiences for their devoted support over all this time to help make DCT the best ever! Other credentials include directing, A Year With Frog and Toad, I Hate Hamlet, The Octette Bridge Club, On Golden Pond, Love Letters, La Cage aux Folles, Romance, Romance, Steel Magnolias, Cabaret, Ballroom, Dames at Sea, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Cat On a Hot Tin Roof, Intimate Apparel, The Fantasticks, Fat Pig, Little Shop of Horrors and 42nd Street. His performance credits include The Glass Menagerie, The Fantasticks, Nightwatch, The Robber Bridegroom, Starting Here, Starting Now, Love Letters, Company, Six Rms Riv Vu and Edith Piaf, Je Vous Aime . Who knows what’s next!!
Roger Bean
Roger Bean created the long-running hit The Marvelous Wonderettes (over 1,200 performances Off-Broadway), along with the sequels Wonderettes: Caps & Gowns, Winter Wonderettes, Wonderettes: Dream On, and the new large-cast Wonderettes: Glee Club Edition. Original cast albums for all Wonderettes shows are available from iTunes and Amazon. The Marvelous Wonderettes received the 2007 LA Ovation Award for Best Musical for its record-breaking Los Angeles run and continues to be an audience favorite in theatre companies throughout the country. Mr. Bean’s do-wop hit Life Could Be A Dream had a record-breaking 12-month run in Los Angeles, receiving the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle Award, the LA Weekly Theatre Award, and the Backstage Garland Award for Outstanding Musical.
