"It's not too late for Pearl" - Rosemary
Rosemary works in the home of Pearl and her Mother. Here, she confronts Mother about the pain they share - they each grieve a daughter who has died.

Playwright Mandy Connor (from the larger work "Pearl")

"The Other Side of Christmas" - Eleanore
At a local diner, Eleanore navigates a solo Christmas dinner after the death of her husband, in a poignant and surprisingly hopeful expression of walking through grief.

Playwright E.B. Lee

"No Substitutes" - Vanna
Vanna's class has been having wildly unsuitable substitute teachers lately - but she doesn't snap until a clown arrives in this hilarious short scene; a dark comedy with some gory details.

Playwright Don Zolidis

"It's The Dresses Fault" - Theresa
Theresa is standing at the alter but she's not the smitten bride she thought she'd be...listen to her inner dialogue, sense the panic, and appreciate the humour of saying "I do" when you're not 100% sure.

Playwright Joanna Murray-Smith

"Rare Birds" - Janet
A mom struggles to connect with her teenage son after the death of her husband by suicide. Janet is terrified that her boy may follow in his father's footsteps.

Playwright Adam Szymkowicz

"Hungry Elsa" - Queen Elsa
A funny and honest exploration of body image and the impossible physique Disney princesses have portrayed for young, impressionable girls since the dawn of cinema.

Playwright Gabriel Davis

"Yoga Fart" - Amy
What could be the ultimate humiliation becomes a learning experience in self-love and acceptance, in this hilariously vulnerable scene.

Playwright Gabriel Davis

"Birthday Girl" - Fairy Godmother

She is THE most famous fairytale character and although she loves her charges all very much, she has a message that Julia may not want to hear, on this of all days.

Playwright Marilyn Millstone

"A Brave Girl" - Susan

A self-proclaimed "scaredy-cat" tells the harrowing story of surviving and rescuing victims of a workplace shooting, based on true events; you never know how strong and brave you are until the situation you're in demands nothing less.

Playwright Colleen Curran

"I've Been Dead for One Year" - Maria
The opening monologue of the Ballad of Maria Marten introduces the audience to narrator and ghost, Maria Marten, who goes on to tell the tale of not only her murder, but the tragic details leading up to her end, and the life she lived before: loved and cherished, not to be forgotten.

Playwright Beth Flintoff
