Who's Who
Meet the Company
Jacob Arkin
Jacob has been involved in theatre for seven years, but this is his third year with DCP. Some of his favorite past roles have been Bert in Mary Poppins, Mr. Wormwood in Matilda, and Major-General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance. While he enjoys a good humorous role, he is looking forward to bringing this journalistic great to life. He would like to thank his family for their support and assistance in carting him to his various rehearsals.
Kendall Barber
Kendall is an eighth grader at Beacon Hill Middle School. Kendall has been doing DCP since 2020 and is excited for the years to come! Her favorite shows so far have been Moana (Chief Ancestor 2) and Pirates of Penzance (Mabel.) She is very enthusiastic about theater and hopes that DCP will help her with her vocal journey even more.
Bryn Bollins
Bryn is really excited for this show at DCP! She has loved getting to know new and old friends better during this season. In her free time, she loves singing, hip hop, swim team, and reading. She says that this is one of her favorite musicals and that she has really enjoyed working really hard on improving in all aspects and is super happy she, and the whole cast, gets to share it with you!.
Allison Bombardier
Allison loves DCP. She was also recently in DCPs The Little Mermaid, Jr.
Allison is a girl Boy Scout. She loves dancing and will miss Llyr and his up coming 6 houses.
Alexa Bowles
Alexa has been doing DCP for 7 years now. She has been in Honk, Willy Wonka, Peter Pan, Madagascar, Mary Poppins, Moana, Matilda, and Little Mermaid. She enjoys swimming, and aerial silks. She is enjoying doing Newsies because of the awesome dance numbers. She would like to thank Lire for choreographing Newsies.
Nyx Crume
Nyx is excited to be playing Ada in DCP’s production of Newsies Jr! They are currently a sophomore at Decatur High School, and have been with DCP since 6th grade. Some of their other hobbies include drawing, animation, and writing! Nyx would like to thank their parents, their sister, and the rest of the cast!
Sammy Crume
Sammy is 13 years old and is so excited to be a part of DCP’s production of Newsies, Jr! Outside of theater, she enjoys to be with her friends, sing, or play with her dog. She has been a part of DCP for a long time now, but this is probably one of her favorite shows that she has performed. She really enjoys this show, and hopes you do too!
Lilah Didier-Sober
Lilah is an 8th grader at Beacon Hill Middle School. She has been preforming since she was 6, and has been at DCP since 4th grade. She just finished playing the role of Ursula in Little Mermaid, Jr. She's very excited about Newsies, and hopes you enjoy the show!
Ian Dietrich
Ian has enjoyed returning to the stage with Newsies Jr! Previous credits with DCP include Peter Pan Jr (Lost Boy) and Willy Wonka Kids (Mr Salt/ensemble). Ian enjoys playing most sports, especially basketball and swim. He really loves Newsies and is excited to perform it for you!
Rory Dietrich
Rory is excited to be doing his 11th show with DCP! You may have seen him in shows such as Circus Olympus (Perseus), The Wizard of Oz Kids (Uncle Henry), and Mary Poppins Jr. (Michael). He enjoys playing baseball, swimming, and being on stage. He gives thanks to Ms. Nichols, Dr. H, his parents, and the whole DCP family for encouraging his love of theatre.
Rylan Duda
Rylan Duda is a 7th grader at BHMS. She has been doing theater since 5th grade. Her favorite shows to perform in were Mary Poppins and Moana. Rylan is so excited for her first lead role and hopes you enjoy the show!
Miles Duvall
Ever since Miles saw Night at the museum, Miles has loved teddy Roosevelt / Robin Williams. He cannot wait to preform for you. You may have seen him before in the Wizard of oz or The Sound of Music. He cannot wait for many more shows in the future!
Pearce Green
Pearce Green is extremely grateful for her cast mates, directors, and everyone who participated in making this show happen. She’s been with Decatur Community Players for about a year, and has enjoyed every minute. She's appeared in Moana where she played Moana, and Pirates Of Penzance, and most recently as Sebastian in The Little Mermaid. In Newsies, she got the chance to work behind the scenes during rehearsals as she will be traveling during the show weekend but still wanted to be involved.
Jack Gregory
Jack Gregory is a senior in high school and will be going to Georgia State University in the fall of 2023. He has loved theater all of his life, doing shows throughout middle school and various Drama Camps. Also, he has written a full musical and a play and worked on choreographing for his high school's spring review earlier in May. He has been working with DCP ever since last year's production of Matilda JR, however, sadly this is his final show as part of this family. He would like to send his endless gratitude and thanks to the entire DCP team, as well as his casts for Matilda JR, JTF '23, The Little Mermaid JR, and (of course) Newsies JR for giving him a chance, and a place to fly, as well as his parents for supporting him, and helping him to get to this final bow. He hopes you enjoy the show!!!!!
Allie Hogan
Allie is excited to be appearing in Newsies. She has previously played the Acrobat in Matilda, the role of Hermia in A Mid Summer Night's Dream and Little Timoune in Once On This Island. In her free time Allie loves to dance and play tennis. Allie is thankful for her family, Ms. Shell, and the awesome cast and crew of Newsies!
Reece Horner
Reece has been doing theater for six years. She likes to binge watch tv shows and she likes to draw. She wants give a shout-out to Freya and Llyr and Paris Hilton.
Jude LeBlanc
Jude has been doing DCP for seven months now, he loves to preform and his favorite show was Pirates of Penzance. Outside of acting Jude does competitive swimming and Frisbee. He would like to thank Freya, Lyre, and Sofia for all of the choreographing they did. He's excited to see you on stage.
Declan Llewellyn
Declan is excited to be back on stage with Decatur Community Players! Declan first discovered his love of performing in last year's Matilda Jr., and most recently, he was thrilled to appear as Kurt von Trapp in Decatur High School's production of The Sound of Music. In his free time, he likes to read, draw, play guitar, and play video games. Today is Declan's first day as a fifth-grade graduate, and he looks forward to more theater opportunities at BHMS and on the DCP travel team. Declan hopes you enjoy the show!
Lillian (Lily) McDonald
Lily has been involved in theatre for three years but has performed on stage in ballets and the church choir since she was three years old. She calls Decatur Community Players her happy place. Her favorite performances were Madagascar and Pirates Past Noon. At home, she loves to watch musicals and perform, with her favorite production being Hamilton. Outside of theatre, Lily loves to write short stories. Lily would like to thank her parents, cast members, and the amazing staff at DCP for their support and encouragement.
Asher Pilvinsky
Asher is an 8th grader who has been in 4 DCP shows before this. They are also currently in The Little Mermaid, and were recently the Sergeant in The Pirates Of Penzance. They are looking forward to joining Decatur High School’s theatre program as a freshman next school year. Outside of theatre, they play piano and percussion in the Beacon Hill Band. Asher is excited for future shows at Decatur Community Players.
Grady Piper
Grady has been involved in DCP for seven years. Some of his favorite shows include Peter Pan, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, and Matilda Jr. He would like to thank you for coming to the show!

Cleo Saliers
Cleo is so exited to be in Newsies! Ever since Cleo was very little she has enjoyed acting and singing very much. She is a big fan of Broadway musicals and really wants to be on Broadway when she grows up. Some of the previous plays Cleo has done include Moana (Gramma Tala). Madagascar Jr (Alex the lion), Sound of Music (Marta), and Annie (Kate) She would like to thank everyone at DCP for their help and support.

Justin So
This is Justin’s second production at DCP, following Matilda Jr. (Eric). Outside of theatre, he likes to read and write, especially screenplays. Justin would like to thank Shell and Melissa, as well as his fellow cast members.
Autumn Spiegler
Autumn is in seventh grade has been with DCP since second grade and she loves it. She loves to sing random songs and dramatically enact scenes from her ever-expansive imagination. She also enjoys playing video games and obsessively watching TED Talks for hours on end, sometimes at the same time.
Ava Trojanowski
This is Ava's first production with DCP and she is excited to be a part of the DCP community. Earlier this year Ava played Gretl in the Decatur High School production of The Sound of Music and with it found a love of the stage. In her free time, Ava enjoys singing Broadway tunes, playing the piano and doing modern and tap dance. She'd like to thanks all of her friends and family and hopes you enjoy the show!

Vera Elise Wamstad
Vera is thrilled be part of DCP’s Travel Team production of “Newsies Jr.”! Vera has created deep friendships with her cast mates and awaits the next adventure around the corner. In this weekends show, Vera plays Davey, a role that has been great fun. You may have also seen her in the productions of “Once on this Island Jr.”, “Matilda Jr. ”, “Pirates of Penzance Jr.”, and most recently, “Little Mermaid Jr.” as the role of Ariel! Without further ado, sit back, relax, and enjoy this incredible show!
Eloise Ward
Eloise is a rising 6th grader, and a super energetic kid. Newsies is her first performance with DCP and she is grateful for the opportunity to learn from all of her cast mates, directors and choreographer. When she’s not singing show tunes, you can probably find her playing softball, hanging out with her dogs (Hank and Murphy), working on an idea for a craft, or dreaming about summers at Camp Ocoee.
Zoe Zisook
Zoe has been doing theater for several years and is excited to be in her favorite musical, Newsies. She also enjoys other creative pursuits, such as sewing and art. She has really liked getting to know this group at DCP and looks forward to more shows.
