MTI’s All Together Now! – A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre is an opportunity for schools and theatres around the world to locally produce and perform an exclusive musical revue featuring songs from MTI’s beloved shows.
The Show Will Go On was created during the global 2020 pandemic. Theaters all over the world shut down and I immediately went to work in trying to entertain people and send them a little bit of joy in such dark times. The internet can be a beautiful place to connect people from all over and thankfully, with the online show The Show Will Go On, we were able to give actors an outlet and create a place for people to enjoy theater in their own home. They would perform monologues, skits, musical numbers, holiday specials and even one-woman shows. While Behind Closed Doors in August took care of the acting portion of what we would produce online, All Together Now will take care of the singing.
All Together Now: This fictional story is about a group of actors returning to a theatre stage after almost 20 months of a global theatre shutdown. They get an idea from a fellow cast mate to journal. Write down your memories from when you were younger, to today. Anything that comes to mind just write down all you can so you can look back on these memories.
Musical theatre has become such a highlight in SMCT, and we are so excited to bring it back to a live setting for everyone.
NOTICE:We here at SMCT believe in the health and safety of all our actors and patrons. Please comply with our mask rules. All patrons, regardless of vaccination status must wear a mask in our theatre at all times. Please wash your hands and if you are feeling ill, or have any flu like symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, we ask you refrain from entering our theatre. |
