From the director!
If you are a returning patron, you are going to see A LOT of new faces on our stage tonight. It is exciting to see these young artists creating the 2025-26 version of Teatristas. We are so proud of their work as they learn to work together to tell a new story.
Tonight’s play is a new version of an old story. Theatre can be fun and creative when approaching old tales. I promise that tonight we will be trying some new things. So be creative and use your imagination as you watch.
“Tell us a story of someone who went through a lot and made it through.” are some of the first lines in tonight’s play. As a society, I believe we have been through a lot in the past few years. And as I told our cast and crew, we are not living in normal times. Through stories, we learn how to make it through tough times. As our Muse says “Stories are so soothing, aren't they? All those difficult things happening to people who aren't us. Well I do have a story for you. In fact I have a story of you.” As we watch all 10 Odysseus’s struggle tonight, remember we can make it through tough times a well.
Thank you for coming and enjoy the show!
