Michelle Torres Maxson
Director
Michelle is an actress, director, and educator with over 20 years experience creating, producing, and performing in traditional and devised theater. She has acted internationally, regionally, in NYC and the Bay Area. She devised original work at HERE Arts Space and Richard Foreman's Ontological-Hysteric Theater in NYC, and the Climate Theater in SF. Her work in independent film includes acting, producing, and casting. She was Associate Producer and Local Casting director for Orion Pictures/Samuel Goldwyn Films’ BURN COUNTRY, starring James Franco, Dominic Rains (CHICAGO MED), Oscar winning actress Melissa Leo (THE FIGHTER), and Emmy Award winning actress Rachel Brosnahan (THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL). She continues to find Bay Area talent for independent films, including for the feature film Freeland, which premiered at SXSW in 2020.
Michelle has a passion for social justice and a belief in the transformative power of the arts. She started her teaching career in 2002 using theater as tool to teach conflict resolution/social emotional skills to under-served youth in New York City, creating and teaching culturally responsive, trauma-informed curriculum. From 2008-2010, Michelle taught creative writing in the San Francisco County Jail and was the Program Director of the San Francisco based RISING VOICES a writing and performance internship for formerly incarcerated young women. She is currently earning a second master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco, and plans to blend her expertise in both areas, to continue to use theater as tool for healing.

Dance has been a major part of Joan’s life from taking ballet lessons at a young age to performing as a dancer and choreographer in her college years at U.C. Davis. Since 2011, she has been an Adjunct Professor at CRC teaching dance, yoga, mat Pilates, and dance history. Joan has choreographed many CRC dance performances and musical productions, including CHICAGO, AVENUE Q, DEAR EDWINA (on Zoom) and THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. Joan would like to thank Michelle, the production crew, and the actors for this great experience.

Tricia Tecson
Set Designer
Tricia is honored to be a part of this production of ANTIGONE at Cosumnes River College as Set Designer. Having graduated with a Master’s in Architecture from the University of British Columbia, she is ecstatic to be returning to the Theater Arts. She has previously worked with Music Circus, Cosumnes River College, Teatro Nagual, Berkeley Playhouse and Capital Stage. Tricia would like to thank Martin Flynn for his mentorship and guidance which have been immeasurable.
Cary Babka
Lighting, Sound & Projections Designer
Cary is very happy to be working with Michelle again, and with this wonderful cast! One of his favorite designs was with her on SONNETS FOR AN OLD CENTURY. Some other standouts have been THE ADDAMS FAMILY, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST and DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE at Sierra College, WATER BY THE SPOONFUL at Big Idea, and shows from THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS to doing costumes for CHICAGO at CRC. He has also acted in shows like LOVE'S LABOURS LOST and THE GOOD DOCTOR where he played a shockingly unarmed Checkov. May we always remember, "A city which belongs to just one man is no true city."
Slater Saylor
Production Stage Manager
David Fulk
Theater Technition/Scene Shop Foreman
David started out as an actor in Los Angeles working with George C. Wolf at Inner City Cultural Center. He also studied under Eric Morris and Rose Portilla, and went on to complete his apprenticeship at American Theatre Arts where he wondered back stage and never left. He worked with Theo E. Azzari, learning set building and prop construction, and landed his first paying job helping with the set for PEE WEE'S PLAYHOUSE. After leaving Los Angeles, he landed here at Cosumnes River College where he's been building sets for over a hundred shows. He's retiring after thirty years of service, and will miss his colleagues and students, but is excited to see the department flourish and go in new directions.
Martin Flynn
Technical Director
Martin a Professor of Technical Theatre at Cosumnes River College, as well as the current Theatre Arts Department Chair. A scenic designer by trade, Martin has designed almost 150 shows, mostly in California, and has served as technical director on about 40 shows. He is grateful to Tricia Tecson for lightening his design load and contributing her amazing talents as set designer for this wonderful production. Martin has an MFA from UC Davis and a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University. He lives in Sacramento with his wife Angelique and toddler son Leonardo. Martin's oldest child, Linus, is a musician living in Denver, Colorado.
