DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Welcome to Arendelle, where it's about to get very chilly. The cold doesn't bother us anyway, right? As director of Frozen Jr., I'm thrilled to welcome you to witness the journey of self-discovery, love, and acceptance that Anna and Elsa embark on throughout this story. This production is a testament to the power of sisterhood and the importance of embracing our true selves. Frozen is an iconic story of our generation as the catchy music, quirky characters, and the love story of two sisters grasped our hearts in 2013 and haven't left us since. I remember it all too well--my Goddaughter fell in love with the movie when she was just a toddler and every time she'd sleep over at my house, we'd have to watch it to fall asleep to. I had gotten to the point where when "Let It Go" would come on, I'd sing the lyrics by singing," Let it go, let it go, I can't hear this song anymore," which would make her laugh. However, in all honesty and all jokes aside, this year, this show just seemed like the perfect fit for us. I had to hear the song again and this time, on a stage and by my choice.  Frozen is a story for the ages, and Frozen Jr. brings that magic to the stage in a way that is accessible and engaging for audiences of all ages.  We ran into some bumps along the way with cast and crew absences, replacements, and weather related school closings, which with 60 students in the show, made it difficult for Mrs. Harris and myself in trying to get everything done, especially choreography with Mrs. Ricker. I would like to thank the cast for stepping up to the plate and practicing relentlessly to get it all right as it's not easy choreography. I am incredibly proud of the cast and crew, who have worked tirelessly to bring this production to life. Their dedication and talent will hopefully be evident in every performance, and I hope you can feel their passion and enthusiasm. Thank you for being here tonight/this afternoon, depending on which performance you are seeing and for supporting the arts in our school. Your presence makes this production possible, and we are grateful for your support.  I hope you enjoy the show and that it leaves you with a renewed sense of hope, love, and the magic of sisterhood.

Sincerely,

Kellie Olson--DIRECTOR

So, to her Thespian Babies, she has this message for you that was told to her millions of times by the late Josie Helming: Go on stage, say your words loud, and don't fall off the stage!
