ABOUT US

Founded in 2023 by autistic playwright and producer Anthony J. Piccione, the Neurodivergent New Play Series is dedicated to presenting matinee readings on the 3rd Sunday of every month - with seasonal breaks in December, January, July, and August - of plays written entirely by neurodivergent and disabled playwrights (i.e autism, ADHD, dyslexia, OCD, Tourette syndrome, etc.) as part of a growing resident company of playwrights whose interests and specialties span a wide range of subjects, genres & structural approaches, with each play personally selected from a neuroinclusive resident company of directors.

Emma Carlile

Young Mother
Emma Carlile - Young Mother Emma Carlile (She/Her) is currently a senior in the BFA Musical Theatre program at Marymount Manhattan College. Annabel Webster

Playwright
Annabel Webster - Playwright Annabel is a beautiful wench playwright from the sagebrush kissed mountains of Ketchum, Idaho. She enjoys the smell of wood paneling, driving down endless lonely highways, and staring into the dark shining mouth of a cave. She is 25 years old and has a BA in Writing for the Stage from Marymount Manhattan College. In her work, Annabel explores the inherent gothicism of girlhood, the spirit of the prairie, distant memories, sexuality, and the unblinking, starry eye glare of something distant, primordial, god-like.

Maryanna Tollemache

Director
Maryanna Tollemache - Director Maryanna Tollemache (they/she) is an autistic director and actor. They are currently wrapping up their undergrad as a BA Theatre Arts: Directing concentration and BFA Musical Theatre double major at Marymount Manhattan College. Her continued goal is to mix her passion in disability studies alongside the theatre arts! She has staged shows such as 13!, Six Years Old, and Jailbait. She lives in Manhattan with her spunky roommate, and their two cats! They thank their professors, Johanna Pinzler, Joseph Paul Hill, Adam Cico, and family for their incredible support.
