What makes a happy family? And how does our upbringing shape who we become? Inspired by Tolstoy’s famous words “All happy families are alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way”, Family Values takes audiences on a personal, humorous, and thought-provoking journey through ‘90s Russia—exploring love, religion, parenthood, and happiness in a world so different, yet strangely familiar. Brought to you by a Russian comedian Dina Mild who earned a talent-based U.S. green card, this one-woman show blends storytelling, music, visual art, and audience interaction to bridge East and West, past and present. Are we really that different after all? Directed by Alina Konon. Recommended for ages 13+ due to mature themes around family, religion, and emotional reflection. 3 Performances at Upstairs @ El Centro. 1103B North El Centro Ave, Hollywood, Ca 90038
