Meet the Company

Abby Bilenki

Cinderella

Abby is a sophomore at NDP and so excited to be in her seventh NDP theatre production! You might've seen her most recently in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" as Sally Brown. She'd like to thank her amazing cast members for making every performance so much fun, her wonderful directors, Ms. Ward and Ms. Amanda, for their leadership and direction, and especially her Mom, for supporting her constantly throughout her performances. She'd lastly like to thank her family and friends for their constant support and love, and Brooke Mackley, for helping her with her constant quick changes.

Teddy Seward

Jack

Teddy is currently a Junior at McDonogh. He has been doing theatre for the past seven years. In the past his favorite rolls have been adult man in "Spring Awakening" and then as Donkey in "Shrek: The Musical". His favorite thing about "Into the Woods" this year has been getting to preform with a puppet cow. He would like to thank his family and the directors for supporting him and pushing him to work hard.

Zhyan Noble

Jack’s Mother

This is Zhyan's sixth and last musical as a senior at NDP. Her favorite roles were the Dragon in “Shrek” Jr. and Mufasa in “Lion King Jr.” Her favorite part of NDP theatre is meeting new people with the same passion for singing, dancing, and acting. Zhyan would like to thank her family, especially her mom, for supporting her love for music and acting! She would also like to thank all of the teachers, adults, and staff who dedicate their time to NDP theatre! She intends to take all of the lessons she has learned in NDP theatre on her college journey, as her high school career comes to an end.

Maddie Herbert

Milky White (puppeteer)

Maddie Herbert is a 9th grader at NDP. She has been a part of NDP theater since sixth grade. Her favorite roles include being Young Anna in "Frozen Jr.", as well as The Scarecrow in "The Wizard of Oz Jr.". Maddie enjoys being apart of the "Into The Woods" cast as the Milky White puppeteer, and would like to thank her family.

Gabe Veits

Baker

Gabe Viets is a senior at Carver Center and is ecstatic to be the Baker in "Into the Woods" at NDP. Some of Gabe's previous stage credits include Billy Flynn in "Chicago" (HS Edition) at S.T.A.R. Ltd., Shreddy Eddy in "Airness" at Carver Center, and Dick in "9 to 5: The Musical" at Carver Center. Gabe also has a couple of film credits, such as Jesse in "The Ghost of Westriver" directed by Charlie Knott, and Charlie in "Crimson Moon" directed by Alexander Goodman. His favorite part of "Into the Woods" was meeting lots of new and different types of actors. Gabe would like to thank his friends for their constant support, and his parents for their non-stop care. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Chloe LaCanfora

Baker’s Wife

Chloe LaCanfora is so excited but also very sad to be performing in her 7th and final show at NDP! She is so grateful to have been a part of this production and is so thankful for Mrs. Ward, Mrs. Bilenki, and Mrs. Amanda for giving her the opportunity to play this part. She would also like to thank her family for always being so supportive of her. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Rose Glennon

Cinderella's Stepmother

Rose is in her senior year and so thrilled to be part of this musical! Since she came to NDP in eighth grade, Rose has loved performing previously in "Shrek Jr"., "The Little Mermaid," "Godspell Jr"., and "All Together Now! "As one of the co-presidents of ITS, Rose is very thankful for the opportunities that have come from being a part of NDP theater. She would like to say a huge thank you to the cast and crew for making her last show so memorable. Rose is especially grateful to Ms. Ward for all her wise knowledge she has passed onto Rose and Mrs. Bilenki for truly making her feel at home in the theater and helping Rose grow so much in her singing. And most of all, Rose thanks Mrs. Amanda for being the best chorographer and dance teacher Rose has ever had. Enjoy the going" Into the Woods!"

Riley Reinhardt

Florinda

Riley Reinhardt, a sophomore at Notre Dame Preparatory School, is thrilled to be in "Into the Woods" this year at NDP. Riley has been in the shows in NDP since her 6th grade year. During her time at NDP, Riley has been the Bishop in "Shrek: The Musical", Oaken in "Frozen Jr.", and a soloist in "Godspell" and "All Together Now!". Riley was also Adelaide in "Guys and Dolls" last spring at Loyola Blakefield. Her favorite part of "Into the Woods" was being being able to work with the talented people in the cast. Riley would also like to thank her cast members and directors for making this show possible and her friends and family for supporting her.

Claire Schafer

Lucinda

Claire Schafer is a junior at NDP and she has been a part of NDP theatre since sixth grade. Some of her favorite roles she has played are Lucy in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown," Anna in "Frozen Jr.," and the "Astonishing" soloist in "All Together Now." She would like to thank Ms. Bilenki, Ms. Ward, and Ms. Amanda for everything they've done for this show!

Henry Cantwell

Cinderella’s Father

Henry is a senior at Calvert Hall and is excited to be performing as Cinderella’s Father. It is his first high school musical, and he is very happy to be here! He thanks his family for their support!

Becca Meyers

Little Red Ridinghood

Becca Meyers, a junior, is so excited for her fourth show at NDP! Some of her past roles at NDP include a member of the ensemble in "Godspell Jr.", "Gimme Gimme" soloist in "All Together Now!, and Snoopy in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown". She would like to thank Mrs. Bilenki, Mrs. Ward, and the entire cast for making this show possible.

Jalyn Edrington

The Witch

Jalyn Edrington is a senior at NDP and is so excited to be playing the witch. This is her third production at NDP and will miss learning new music with everyone and creating new friendships. She thanks her family for all of their support and love.

Ally Rossbach

Cinderella’s Mother

Ally Rossbach is a senior and has been with NDP Theatre for three years. She was in Ensemble for "The Little Mermaid" freshmen year, was in Ensemble and a duet for "All Together Now", Linus in "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown", and is Ensemble and Cinderella's Mother in "Into the Woods". Her favorite thing about the show is meeting so many fun cast members and getting to see all the talent everyone has. She would like to thank her family for the love and support that they have shown throughout the Musical.

Jeffry Flores

Mysterious Man

Jeffry is an 11th grader at Dulaney High and this is his first production at NDP. He is very excited to participate in this show playing the mysterious man. He’d like to thank his family and friends for their support and Ms. Ward, Ms. Bilenki and Ms. Amanda for this opportunity. Jeffry is also more than grateful for Ryan Taylor for reading his lines whenever he wasn’t there.

Josh Bowden

Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince

Josh is a senior at George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, and this is his first show with NDP. His previous roles include Daniel in"Once on This Island', Ensemble in "Voices of Carmen", Dwayne in "9 to 5: The Musical", and Octavius in "Julius Caesar". His favorite part of "Into the Woods" has been the connections he's made with other cast members on and off the stage, and would like to thank the cast for working so hard and being so supportive of each other!

Abby Marinari

Granny/ Giant

Abby is a sophomore with two other NDP shows under her belt. One of her favorite shows was "You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown" where she played the role of Marcie. Abby hopes to thank her friends for dealing with her during tech week and her family for dealing with all of her late night rehearsals.

Brianna Herbert

Rapunzel

Brianna is excitedly returning for her sixthyear of NDP theatre in this year's "Into the Woods!" Her favorite past roles include Elsa from "Frozen Jr". and Gingie from "Shrek Jr". Her favorite thing about "Into the Woods' is being able to play one of her dream roles, Rapunzel. She would like to thank her parents for all the love and support, as well as the cast and crew.

Peter Andrada

Rapunzel’s Prince

Peter is a Junior at Calvert Hall. This is his first show with NDP but this is his seventh year participating in Theatre. His favorite past rolls Corny Collins in "Hairspray" and as Marcellus Washburn in "The Music Man". His favorite thing about "Into the Woods" is getting to perform "Agony" with his castmate Josh. He would like his family for all the support.

Logan DuBois

Steward

Logan DuBois is a freshman at Carver in the acting prime. This is his first time doing a show with the actors and directors of Notre Dame Preparatory. His favorite thing about the show this year was working with such a talented cast and crew. He would like to thank his friends and family for all the love and support.

Noelle Barczak

Ensemble

Noelle Barczak is a senior and this is her second and final musical at NDP. She was previously in the ensemble for “All Together Now!” Her favorite role was “Prince Eric” in another theatre’s production of “The Little Mermaid.” She would like to thank her parents and friends for all their support, and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Reena Bitar

Reena Bitar is a junior at NDP and is very excited to be in her sixth show at NDP! She has been in many NDP productions in the past including "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" and Frozen Jr. She would like to thank her friends and family for supporting her in all of her shows.

Lily Chesgreen

Ensemble

Lily Chesgreen is a sophomore and is excited to be in their third show at NDP! Lily was previously in the ensemble in “All Together Now!” and mic crew in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." Their favorite part of NDP theatre has been getting to know everyone in the cast and having the chance to perform with such talented people. They would like to thank their friends and family for always cheering them on!

AnaMarie Ferguson

Ensemble

Ana is in her freshmen year at NDP! This is her first show with NDP Theatre and she is very happy to be a part of such a fantastic company and can’t wait to be a part of more shows soon. Ana has always had a great love of theatre. For example, she was a part of many shows when she was in elementary school. Now as a high schooler, she takes theatre as an elective and couldn’t be happier doing something she is passionate about!

Brooke Mackley

Ensemble

Brooke is very excited participate in the show. In her free time she likes to sing in NDP's Chamber Choir, and play track and lacrosse. She would like to thank her parents, her friends, and Sarah Gnacek for reminding her she has rehearsal every day.

Abby Pellechia

Ensemble

Abby is a freshman at NDP and has done some previous shows in the past. For example, she was the Duchess in "Aristocats", Kitty in "Golly Gee Whiz", and Delilah in "Friday Night Fever". She is so excited to be a part of the NDP theater community and hopes that you will enjoy "Into the Woods". She would like to thank Ms. Ward and Mrs. Bilenki as well as her parents for supporting her.

Danielle Polun

Danielle is currently a freshman at NDP. Her favorite past rolls were a baker in "Frozen Jr." and as an ensemble member in "Godspell JR." . Her favorite thing about being in "Into the Woods" this year has been hanging out with her cast members before practices and really getting to know them. She would like to thank her parents, family, and friends for all the love and support.

Mia Saxon

Mia Saxon is elated to be partaking in her first high school show at NDP. She was previously Aunt Em in the middle level’s production of "The Wizard of Oz : Youth Edition" She would like to thank her friends and family for their support.

Zahra Shahpurwala

Ensemble

Zahra is a freshman and is very excited to be in her first upper-level show. She was very involved in Middle Level theater and her past roles have been Olaf in "Frozen Jr" and the Lion in" The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition". She is very excited to be working with this cast and hopes to be involved in future shows at NDP.

Ryan Taylor

Ryan is a 10th grader and is so excited to be on the stage this year! she is the founder and president of the Women in Film club (everyone should join!!!) and would like to thank Ms. Ward for encouraging her to audition! She would also like to shoutout Jeffry for letting her be his unofficial understudy.

Riley Ward

Ensemble

Riley is in her senior year at NDP! This is her fourth show with NDP Theatre. She was previously on costume crew in the “Little Mermaid”, ensemble in “All Together Now”, and stage crew in “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”. Her favorite show she has worked on was “All Together Now”. She is especially grateful for all of the support she got from her friends and family!

Kate Wiley

Kate Wiley is a current junior at NDP and is thrilled to be in her second musical here! Favorite past roles include Charlie in Willy Wonka, Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, and Ensemble in All Together Now! She is so thankful to Mrs. Ward, Mrs. Bilenki, and her amazing cast and crew!

Aleena Correal

Stage Manager

Aleena is a junior at NDP and is very excited to be a Stage Manager for Into the Woods. This is her third show at NDP and her favorite show that she worked on was You're a Good Man Charlie Brown where she had the featured role of "The Bunny." She wants to thank everyone who has helped her and she hopes you enjoy the show!

Irelyn Selby

Light Booth

Irelyn is doing her first show in the light booth this year, studying under Ella R, Sonya H, and Gabi R. She chose to do stage crew because she is passionate about the arts and loves to work with the school to give opportunities to people who attend the school. She hopes it'll be an experience to remember and something she will come back to in later years.

Tara Wills

Stage Manager

Tara is a senior at NDP and "Into the Woods" is her final musical at NDP. She previously did props for "The Little Mermaid", stage crew for "All Together Now", props for "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown", and was stage manager for the "Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition". She would like to thank everyone in NDP Theater for making the last four years so much fun!

Julia Finamore

Stage Crew

Julia is a freshman and is very excited to be a part of her first show at NDP. She is in the stage crew and is a part of the paint crew. She is excited to be working with everyone and to be helping out on the sets because she loves art. She would like to thank Aleena, Tara, and everyone else who has helped to make this a fun experience.

Jennie Pfister

Stage Crew

Jennie Pfister is very excited to be a part of the Tech Crew in "Into the Woods" this year! She has been involved in the performing arts for many years. She was a Hot Box girl in Immaculate Conception School’s production of "Guys and Dolls Jr". in 6th grade. She has been playing the Alto Saxophone since the 4th grade and was a member of ICS’s Concert Band for three years. For two consecutive years, she has performed the national anthem at the Baltimore Blast soccer game with the concert band. Jennie has been involved in the Middle School Choir at ICS from the beginning, and she has performed at WBAL radio station and Valley View Farms during Christmastime.

Mady Williams

Stage Crew

Mady is an freshman at NDP. Although this is her first year as stage crew for NDP theatre, she is excited and determined to do her best. As a fan of theatre, she decided to branch out and try something new. While being backstage with the amazing crew, she has met many new friends and looks forward to supporting them in their musical journey. Mady would also like to thank her parents and family for supporting her throughout her current NDP experience.

Nyla Harris

Stage Crew

This is Nyla's third show at NDP, but it is her first on stage crew. She said that stage crew was a new and eye opening experience for her. Nyla's favorite part of the show is 'Agony'. The princes being complete goof balls always makes her laugh. In her free time she loves to dance.

This is Ayla's first show with NDP theater. She is enjoying the process and wishes everyone well! She thanks her family for their support.

Gabi Rzomp

Light Booth

As a senior, this is Gabi’s final show here at NDP. This is also her second year helping run the light booth! She has been participating in theatre since 5th grade, also performing in the ensemble of “The Little Mermaid” here at NDP! Gabi would like to thank Ella, her fellow light booth buddy, Sonya, Irelyn, and the cast for making this a memorable experience! She can’t wait to see the amazing performances the company puts on in the future!

Ella Rybczynski

Light Booth Manager/Scenic Paint Manager

Ella is in her senior year and is excited to be participating in her 4th show at NDP. Ella is the light booth manager as well as created any of the handmade props for the show. She is grateful to Mrs. Ward, Mr. D and Mr. Ed for trusting her over these past two years and allowing her to find her passion for lights. Ella hopes to study Lighting Design in college. She wants to thank her fellow light booth members, Gabi, Sonya, and Irelyn for sticking it out through the long rehearsals and helping to create such a fun environment in the booth.

Sonya Heffernan

Sonya is a sophomore, and this is her third show running lights at NDP. She has run spotlight in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" and the ML show "Wizard of Oz" last year, and now this year's show, "Into the Woods!" Her favorite part of being on tech crew is the meaningful connections she has formed with her fellow light crew members, Ella R., Gabi R., and Irelyn S. She would like to give a special shout out to Ella and Gabi for guiding her as honorary big sisters through these last two years! She hopes you enjoy the show!

Andrea Meade

Sound Effect Manager

Andrea is currently a junior at NDP. She has worked sound for "All Together Now", "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown!", and is currently working as a sound tech for this years' "Into the Woods". Her favorite thing about the show this year is getting to work with new sound tech's and showing them the ropes. She would like to thank her family and the directors for all the support.

Diane Esteban

Sound Booth Manager

This is Diane's 7th show working in the sound booth, 4th show as sound manager, and her final Upper Level musical at NDP. Her favorite shows that she's worked on have been "The Little Mermaid" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown". She is extremely grateful to all those that have worked in the sound booth with her, both past and present, for all of their hard work and entertaining jokes. She would also like to extend her appreciation to the wonderful cast and crew that she has had the pleasure of working alongside for making her job with the mics that much easier. She will especially miss getting all the songs stuck in her head and needing to periodically listen to each soundtrack.

Casey Wrobel

Projections

This is Casey's third show as a projection operator. Last year she worked on "All Together Now" and "The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition". She is grateful to Mr. Lake for his mentorship. She also very excited that NDP will be permanently installing our own 15K auditorium projector over Thanksgiving Vacation!

Wendy Roepcke

Sound Booth

This is Wendy's first show with Notre Dame Preparatory School. She is currently a sound tech! Her favorite part about the show this year is getting to learn the ins and outs of theatre sound, and getting to participate in theatre. She would like to thank her fellow sound techs for teaching her the ropes.

Nina Jones

Stage Crew

Nina Jones is currently a sophomore and this will be her third year participating in NDP theatre as not only a member of the crew but an actor as well. She was previously in the ensemble in "Godspell", on crew for "All Together Now", and as Peppermint Paddy in 'You're a Good Man Charlie Brown". Her favorite part of NDP theater is getting to try new things and get to experience theater on stage and backstage. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her!

Sarah Gnacek

Narrator

Sarah Gnacek is a senior, and she has been with the NDP Theater program since the 6th grade. Her favorite past role was Flounder in "The Little Mermaid." She is so exited to play the Narrator in "Into the Woods". She'd like to thank her parents as well as Mrs. Bilenki, Ms. Ward, and Mrs. Amanda for all their support.

“INTO THE WOODS WE GO AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO EVERY NOW AND THEN.”

In the wake of all that our world has been through in the last few years of pandemic and lockdowns the show carries a special message. We are resilient. We learned that we can be stronger than our fear and we can make it through by working together and supporting one another.  Even the most challenging of situations, although painful, can teach us life lessons. The lyrics of our show say, “INTO THE WOODS that’s the way we learn to cope…to find there is hope of getting through the journey!”

Like real fairy tales, it INTO THE WOODS can be a little grim, so it is with care that we wish that you enjoy this challenging material. Fairy Tales reveal the very real truth that nothing we desire is owed to us. We can have what we want but there will be a price so be very careful that what you wish for is really what you want.  Performing his play with high school students on the very brink of beginning their own journeys of discovery offers intriguing possibilities.

Last year the theater lost one of the greats, Stephen Sondheim. We are reminded of his lyric, “Sometimes people leave you halfway through the wood. Do not let it grieve you. No one leaves for good.”  Sondheim lives on in his work and INTO THE WOODS is a masterwork.  It is a wise reflection on what it means to make your way in the world, even in the most difficult times. The complex relationships between parents and children depicted in the play have the potential to become profound in performance.  It seems a perfect showcase for the extraordinary talents of students who have been developing at NDP, some for seven years.

The rehearsal process has been intense. Into the Woods is long, complex, and musically extremely difficult.  Whenever we make the journey we know we are taking on a challenge. We have worked since before the first week of school to bring this amazing work in its complete form to our stage. If I have one piece of advice to you, our audience, it is to listen closely to the words. They are clever, delightful and they will make you think. Our directors are deeply proud of this group of students for their hard work and dedication. We are thrilled to be welcoming young men from area schools back to our stage for the first time in three years!

It is our pleasure to bring this extraordinary show to you this weekend.  All of us in the cast, staff, and crew hope you enjoy this imaginative adventure.
