Meet the Company

Michael VanHouten

Lucas Brickman
Michael VanHouten - Lucas Brickman This is Michael’s first time participating in a production at the Dover Little Theatre. He previously acted in productions of "Columbinus and Dog Sees God" at East Carolina University in 2017 and 2018 as well as some short film and play work. "Laughter on the 23rd Floor" will be Michael’s first-time performing in front of a live audience since before the pandemic.

George Kuch

Milt Fields
George Kuch - Milt Fields George is excited to be in his first production at Dover Little Theatre. George would like to thank Dan, Liz, and the cast for making this so much fun. He was only a little weirded out when he realized that he actually is Milt. George has been on stage since the late 80s. He has done TV and film, but now spends most of his time narrating audiobooks.

Joe DeSpirito

Val Skosky
Joe DeSpirito - Val Skosky Joe is happy to be performing on the Dover stage for the first time. He has performed and directed at numerous venues throughout Northern New Jersey, Rockland County, and NYC. Joe lives in Ringwood with Judy, his wife of 53 years, a son Jonathan, and Skippy, their 3 legged cat. Even though he has directed this show twice, he is thrilled to join the lunacy onstage with this wonderful cast. He also enjoys golf, football, hockey, and being silly with Paige, McKenzie, and Eloise. Thanks to Dan for making it possible.

Charlie Hudson

Brian Doyle
Charlie Hudson - Brian Doyle Charlie Hudson is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and actor. In 2020, Charlie won Best Director at Point Lookout Film Festival for his short drama film "High Street". As a film actor, he has starred in a variety of short films, including the upcoming surrealist dark comedy film "New and Improved...with Fiber!" In addition to acting and directing, Charlie is also a producer, and co-produced the feature documentary “Firebird: Built to Burn”, releasing later this year. While juggling all of this, he still finds time to write, and has mastered the art of starting a new script before finishing the current one.

Perry Cirigliano

Kenny Franks
Perry Cirigliano - Kenny Franks Perry will be playing the part of Kenny Franks in Dan Whitehead's production of "Laughter on the 23rd Floor". This will be his first appearance at the Dover Little Theatre, and he is delighted to be part of this ensemble cast.

Anna Gundersen

Carol
Anna Gundersen - Carol Anna Gundersen is happy to be back at Dover Little Theatre, last appearing on this stage 16 years ago in a production of "High School Musical!" Anna is a stage and screen actor appearing in plays, film, improv, and sketch comedy shows. Anna studied theatre, earning an M.A. in Educational Theatre from NYU and a B.A. in Theatre from Penn State. Anna often performs sketch comedy in NYC with the monthly show "Bragging Rights". Joe McCaig

He has played Leo in "Leading Ladies"; Richard in "Moon Over Buffalo"; Tom in "Glass Menagerie"; Jack in "The Importance of Being Earnest"; Richmond in "Richard III"; and Antony in "Julius Caesar." His interests include Laozi, rockabilly, AP essays, acai, cheesecake, and intermittent fasting. Joe appreciates the support of his family, friends, and colleagues. He thanks Dan for letting him be the ham in the L23 sandwich, and the cast/crew, with whom he hopes every performance goes "fine--just fine." Lastly, "ah groisen dank" to Sid Caesar and Neil Simon.

Dorothy Jo Blomquist

Helen
Dorothy Jo Blomquist - Helen Dorothy is thrilled to be a part of this production. She has been in a few shows at Dover Little Theatre. She has been in "Little Shop of Horrors" as Audrey and "Into the Woods" as Rapunzel with DLT. She hopes you enjoy yourself and have a good laugh.

Lawrence Shagawat

Ira Stone
Lawrence Shagawat - Ira Stone This is his 8th production at Dover Little Theatre, and he is thrilled to be back on this stage. A Clifton NJ native, Larry started performing as a child magician and later began working professionally as an actor/spokesperson. Trained at MSU and in NYC by many acting teachers, including the renowned Uta Hagen, he went on to join the professional acting guilds (SAG, AFTRA, AEA, AGVA) and has appeared in commercials, television series and feature films. Larry would like to thank his beautiful wife Cindy of 39 years, his family, relatives and personal friends for all their love and support these many years. Also, he would like to acknowledge and thank all of his hard working DLT family. This is his first time working with this wonderful cast of actors and stage crew, and of course working with the talented director Dan Whitehead. It has been a wonderful experience to work and perform in this show. Come see us again!

Dan Whitehead

Director
Dan Whitehead - Director Dan is excited to finally make his directorial debut at Dover Little Theatre with his production of "Laughter on the 23rd Floor". This show not only marks his first time directing at DLT, but his first time directing theatre ever. This made it all the more exciting when it came time to do it. Outside of Dover Little Theatre, Dan is a photographer and filmmaker, who uses his skills to help create all the marketing materials used for each show such as posters, videos, and production stills. As of March 2022, he also holds the position of Marketing Chair on the board for DLT. When deciding to direct a show, Dan decided on this one because he loves comedy, and when he learned it was based on the comedy writers of the Sid Caesar show. He knew it was meant to be, as he is a huge fan of people like Mel Brooks, who in the show is the basis for the character of Ira. In the end, Dan hopes you enjoy the show as much as he does, and find yourself laughing with those around you, because isn't that what theatre is all about?

Kenny Valleau

Lights & Sound Operator
Kenny Valleau - Lights & Sound Operator Kenny is excited to work with such a wonderful cast and crew for this production. Kenny is a proud board member of DLT. Kenny, an elementary teacher, started a theatre program at his school. He's been thrilled to direct his students in "We Are Monsters", "The Grunch", and "The Day the Aliens Attacked Fairfield".

Larry Pelham

Larry Pelham - Set Designer and Builder Larry is the President of the BOD at DLT. He wears many hats and can most often be found at the theater. He has directed several productions at DLT that include "The Music Man" and "Little Shop of Horrors". His most recent production was "The Play That Goes Wrong". He not only can be found directing, but also performing or functioning in some capacity in the many other productions at DLT.
