Follow Us:

Macbeth is a play of the imagination. A phantasmagoria. It asks us to believe in a world where witches walk amongst us and ghosts come back to haunt us. It asks you to stretch your imagination and fill in the gaps. How was Duncan murdered? What were the conversations between Macbeth and his wife that we do not see? Our witches are a thread throughout the story; they are seen in the court delivering messages, waiting on Macbeth, and interacting with other characters. Did Macbeth really encounter them on the battlefield? Or are they his own imagination filling in gaps and propelling him forward to his fate? We are confronted with ourselves when the Porter, alone on the stage, asks “what are you?”  We are invited to reflect on ourselves and our own ambition, played out in the guilty imagination we share with Macbeth. In our own lives, we are all presented with choices. The ones we make, define us.

Good Question was born on a balcony. It was created by artists with a shared passion for story telling. We thank you for coming to our inaugural performance. There is no story worth telling, if no one is listening.

Special Thanks to Tom Holehan for all he has done to support this endeavor and to the Stratford Library for hosting us.

Thank to the Carriage House Arts Center, Brian Kaspr, the Sherwoods, and Beatrice Montaudy for graciously providing props, transportation, and support.

Cheers

Matt Melillo

Sound and Light Operator
Matt "Curly" Melillo is more than thrilled to be able to support Good Question Theatre Compnay in their spooky production of Macbeth. He has come a long way since meeting Tyler Small back in 2013. Starting out with a fake-it-till-you-make-it attitude, he can now confidentally say he has a vague understanding of some things. What he loves most though is playing drums and managing his bands to a mediocre success. You can catch him on stage with his original music in Colorado Shark Problem, or sitting in the pocket with SideFX, a funk/soul/hip-hop cover group from central CT. With no intentions of quitting his day job in IT, Matt is also a co-owner of Side Hat Productions, an entertainment group that helps provide Bands, DJs, Kareoke, Open Mic, acoustic music and sound services to venues. If you'd like to learn more about these things, or just want to see his hair flowing dramatically behind a drum kit, you can follow him and his music on Instagram @cospct and @sidefxct. Matt is closing out 2023 with a special show at Strykers Cafe in Berlin on December 30th.

Charlotte Roth

Composer, Accompanist
Charlotte Roth is a singer, songwriter, musician and actor currently based in CT. You can catch her performing all over the tri-state area and check out her debut full length album, 'I Guess I F*cking Care' which came out in June and is streaming everywhere! Charlotte has starred in local theater productions and independent films, composed original music for Scholastic Audio projects, and is currently enjoying the collaboration process with other amazingly talented local artists to record her next project in the studio and shoot her next music videos. You can follow her on social media at @itscharlotteroth, find her on YouTube and all streaming services at 'Charlotte Roth', and send all booking inquiries to charlotterothcreates@gmail.com.
