Veronica Rodriguez
Veronica Rodriguez is very excited to be a part of Brevo Theatre’s “Me and My Miami” as Rosa Rodriguez! Her recent stage credits include Mean Girls (Regina George), West Side Story (Francisca/Dance Capt.), and Much Ado About Nothing (Hero). Offstage, she has been fortunate enough to work on a number of TV series (The Voice Inside, PBS), short films, advertisements, and commercials for brands such as Valvoline, McDonalds, LifeAlert, and more. She'd like to thank God, her family and friends, and all of the wonderful cast and crew that put their heart and soul into this show!
Aaron Bravo
Aaron Bravo is excited to be making his debut with Brévo Theatre. He is a native South Florida actor who received training in Miami Dade College Wolfson campus’ opera/musical theater department. Some of his notable roles include Chino in West Side Story, Inspector Trotter in The Mousetrap, Eurydice’s Father in Eurydice, Chris Bean in The Play That Goes Wrong, and Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf in Into the Woods. He would like to give thanks to his friends and family for their continued support, and to the amazing cast and crew of Me & My Miami.
Shaquille Wright
I’ve been passionate about theatre since the sixth grade, When I was accepted into Norland middle school’s magnet program under the guidance of Tanisha Cidel. One of my earliest standout roles, was portraying Trayvon Martin in a powerful stage performance. Although Covid disrupted much of middle school, I returned an eighth grade to perform Encanto as a supporting character.
In high school I rejoined the magnet program at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior high Before transporting to Miami Norland Senior high school, where I fully embraced the stage. I played multiple roles in hairspray—including the security guard, news reporter, and IQ— Starred as the Wiz and Evillene’s assistant in The Wiz, and portrayed Mr. Crisp And sister act As a proud thespian, I earned superior ratings for two monologues and a duet scene and was awarded a $500 scholarship at a district competition.
Beyond school productions, I completed in two major talent showcases, performing an original monologue I wrote myself. The first was hosted by the Sigma Alpha Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, INC. Where I won second place and $300. The second was presented by the South Broward Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Where I earned first place in one $1,500. My journey in performing arts has been shaped by creativity, resilience, and a love for storytelling that moves people.
Sheena O Murray
Sheena O. Murray is a vocalist, songwriter, and actress currently based in South Florida. Sheena has earned principle roles in regional theatrical productions such as Dreamgirls, The Wiz, and Newsies as well as several world premiere plays and is also a touring actor. If you were to ask her, she would tell you that she is her best self on stage. You can find her music and works on her website LoveSheenaO.com.
Kalel Carrera
Kalel Carrera began acting in 2022 with Florida Children's Theater where he was cast as Chip in Beauty and the Beast at age 10. It was during this production that he discovered his love for acting and shortly thereafter began acting classes at the theater. He also began taking voice lessons with Risingstarz and RLS Studios as his love for theater deepened. He has since been a part of many productions with his most recent performance as Danny in Freckleface Strawberry with FLCT. Kalel also performed with Bristol Riverside Theater as Billy Kopecki in Big The Musical. Follow his journey.
Demitri Narace
Demitri Narace is excited to return to the Miami Theatre scene with Me & My Miami. He has experience in theatres from across the state of Florida, and has appeared in featured role in both plays and musicals. His most recent appearance was as Charles D’Amico in “Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train” at the Wendell A. Narcisse Theatre. The Miami that resonates the most with Demitri are the sects of artists and their struggles. To the ones who create and challenge themselves away from the prying eyes of the masses, those that, as artists, do art for the sake of the process and experience. “In what we do, we do not act for recognition or awards. We are players in stories.
Toddra Brunson
Toddra Brunson is a seasoned actor with over 12 years of experience in theater and film. She has a rare talent of taking on a wide range of roles from The Washing Machine from Caroline or Change at Actors Playhouse and Girls of Summer as Martha Faye; Once On This Island as Mama Euralie; Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray; The Radio in Caroline, or Change; and the principal role as Aida — exhibiting her vocal range in musical theater — to the powerful warrior Kunto in Dahomey Warriors. She’d go on to play her most recent role in City Theater's Production of Bob Marley's Three Little Birds' as Cedella Marley. Toddra also fully explored her part in Milma's Tale as an understudy with Zoetic Theater. Toddra’s character as the Director in the debut musical Carbonell Nominee for One More Yesterday with The Foundry Theater and Summer Shorts Homegrown Edition can be added to her many current projects. Toddra’s talents go well beyond stage; she is also featured in a Film Web series To Each His Own for 3 Seasons. Web Series: Single, Taken,Other, & Short Film: Black and Blue.
Ajia Northern
Ajia Auriel Northern is a versatile performer and choreographer with experience spanning stage, television, and film. As Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain, Ajia Auriel brought dynamic movement and leadership to “Summer” The Musical at Aurora Theatre and In The Heights at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Stage credits also include a featured role in the dance ensemble of Black Nativity with True Colors Theatre Company. On screen, Ajia has appeared in the ensemble and background for major productions including Big Momma’s House 3 and MTV’s Teen Wolf. Lastly, Ajia received professional training from several prestigious institutions: Alvin Ailey Dance Intensive (Ballet, Horton, Musical Theatre), Dance Theatre of Harlem (Ballet, Graham), the Alabama Dance Festival (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Horton), and Broadway Dance Center in NYC (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Stiletto). With a foundation in both classical and commercial dance.
Dena Barros
Dena Barros is excited to make her Brévo Theatre debut with this original musical! Born and raised in Miami, Dena has her BFA in Musical Theater from University Of Florida’s New World School of the Arts. She loves performing in culturally specific shows and is excited to bring her Latin ethnicity to this role. Previous credits include “Erzulie” in Once On This Island, “Marta” in Company, "Phoebe" in “A Gentlemen’s Guide…” and “Missy” in 9-5.
Liam Hierro
Liam Gael Hierro, originally from New York City, is a passionate 16-year-old performer with a strong background in musical theater. He has played major roles including Link Larkin in Hairspray at Parkway Middle and Young Tarzan in productions at Dillard High School. Most recently, he starred as Troy in High School Musical with Brevo Theater. Additional credits include The Wiz, D.W. Washburn/Saved, and JACKED!. Liam has received training from Melvin Huffnagle and Terrence Pride. He currently attends Dillard High School, where he studies musical theatre, and plans to pursue a BFA in college. He brings energy and heart to every role.
Logan LaPierre
Logan LaPierre is a performer and artist making his professional debut in this production of Me & My Miami! He is currently pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. LaPierre would like to thank his parents for more than what can be expressed in words.
Jana Rutherford
Jana Rutherford is a dynamic dancer from Miami, FL, trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, and African. Her work spans stage, television, and video. Stage credits include Jomandi Productions’ Black Nativity and Brevo’s Emancipation Blues. She has appeared at the nationally televised Trumpet Awards, in music videos with 112 and Cherelle, at the XXVI Olympic Opening Ceremony, with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks Dance Team, and Atlanta’s Total Dance Company. Recent showcases include The Love, Jazz & Soul Experience, The Links’ Flipside Miami featuring Regina Belle, the Pompano Beach Jazz Festival, and Pompano Untapped.
Aundre Elacin
Aundre is an emerging dance artist who began his formal training in 2021 through Dillard High School’s dance program. In his time at Dillard, Aundre trained in ballet, jazz, modern, and a variety of other styles. This training has provided him with a deep appreciation for dance and performance opportunities such as The Chocolate Nutcracker and Zawadi. Aundre has also performed in Brevo Theatre’s production of Emancipation Blues and looks forward to more performances with the company. In the future, Aundre plans to attend college and obtain his BFA in dance with a concentration in modern and later become a dance instructor.
Antonia Scott
Antonia is a dance & choreographer that started her artistic journey here in Broward County FL at the age of 3. Quickly growing a passion for this art Antonia trained in many styles from, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Hip-hop & Tap. Antonia participated in performing arts magnet programs at Parkway middle school & Dillard High School. While in high school Antonia also competed competitively at many major competitions earning high adjurations. High school is also where Antonia gained her love for teaching and choreography and taught at local studios in the Broward County area until she graduated.
Upon graduating high school Antonia moved to Los Angeles to further her dance education. While in LA, she performed in stage shows like Carnival and Club Jete as well as booking commercials for Disney + and a music video with artist Renee Rapp. She also got the opportunity to put her own work on stage at NACHMO LA. Antonia returned to
Broward to cultivate a space and community in the place she first fell in love with dance. Antonia is currently acting as choreographer and rehearsal director at Brevo Theatre. Antonia’s passion for dance extends beyond words and her hope is that her work will inspire others and give audiences an escape from their everyday life.

Adrianne Amara Chavarria majored in Biology and minored in Music at UM (go ‘Canes!). She’ll become fast friends with people who talk to her about oldies music, classic film, DnD, and birds. Performance highlights include: Sister Mary Irene in Sister Act and Janet in Rocky Horror (Seminole Theatre); Rhonda in Ciao Bambino (Manuel Artime Theatre); Asher/Mrs. Potiphar in Joseph…Dreamcoat (Downtowner Concert Series); Jelly in The Little Mermaid’s Adventure (Curtain Call Playhouse); People of the Forest/Ens. in Oskuneru (Maroon Island Productions). She also gives a shout out to her 4 adorable feather babies Chicken, Iago, Coconut, and Baby because why not.

Joshua Walton is a multi-instrumentalist and educator from South Florida primarily performing on bass and tuba. With a degree in Instrumental Performance from
Florida International University he has performed across genres including jazz, funk, gospel, reggae, R&B, latin styles, and New Orleans brass band. In addition to teaching elementary music, Joshua is an active performer with groups such as Pockit Funk, Locos Por Juana, and Soul of Brass Band, and with organizations including Hued Songs, the New Canon Orchestra, and Brevo Theatre.

Zaylin Yates
Zaylin Yates is the Founding Managing Director of Brévo Theatre, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing equity in the arts by elevating the voices of young Black artists and spotlighting emerging talent across disciplines. Under his visionary leadership, Brévo has produced critically acclaimed, socially relevant programming that engages diverse audiences and fosters community dialogue through the performing arts. The organization is widely recognized for its bold storytelling, inclusive casting practices, and commitment to cultivating the next generation of theatre professionals.
In addition to leading Brévo Theatre, Zaylin serves as Manager of Community Engagement at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, where he designs and implements initiatives that connect South Florida communities to transformative cultural experiences. His work bridges arts access and education, deepening civic engagement through live performance and strategic partnerships.

A graduate of Florida A&M University, Zaylin holds an M.B.A., a B.S. in Business Administration, and a B.A. in Theatre Performance. His cross-sector expertise in nonprofit management, creative production, and community-building informs his strategic approach to arts leadership. Over the past decade, he has produced, directed, and performed in a range of theatrical works, always with a focus on authentic storytelling and cultural relevance.
Zaylin’s impact extends beyond the stage. He has sat on grant review panels for the Florida Department of State’s Division of Arts & Culture, Broward Cultural Division, and the South Arts Advisory Council, helping to shape arts funding policy and support for regional organizations.
He is the recipient of the Joel A. Crane Golden Spirit Award, Lead With Your Art, Community Trailblazer Award, a South Florida Legacy 40 Under 40 Honoree, and an ICABA Salute to Men Who Lead Honoree.
Zaylin’s work is driven by a core belief: that the arts are a powerful tool for social change. Through strong governance, visionary programming, and community-rooted engagement, he continues to build spaces where underrepresented voices are heard, valued, and celebrated.
Terrence Pride
Terrence “TM” Pride is a native of Quincy, Florida, and a graduate of Florida A&M University in theater performance and dance. He received his Master of Education in Urban Education from Florida International University in 2022. He has choreographed over 60 pieces of work, including musicals and dance recitals. A man of many talents; director, choreographer, dancer, costume designer, and teacher. Terrence can be seen on the stage or behind the camera; Rialto Theatre’s American Black Princess, HBO’s Love Craft Country are two of his most recent productions. He completed his third year as a principal dancer with Peter London Global Dance Company in 2022. His career as a professional teaching artist began in 2012, as the director of the arts program for 21st Century Fun2Learn Camp for four years in Gadsden County. He continued his work in arts administration at the Joan Kroc Atlanta Theater Camp, Florida Studio Theatre in Sarasota, FL, Apalachee Tapestry School of the Arts in Tallahassee, FL, Ailey Camp Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center, and lastly Dillard Center for the Arts in Fort Lauderdale. Terrence curated Definitive Arts: Arts Integrated Education, lessons for the classroom teacher infuse common core with fun and energetic elements of drama and dance! As a scholar and advocate for cultural and arts education, he aspires to create safe and nurturing spaces for arts and cultural exploration and representation through theater and dance. Through his involvement with local and state grant committees, The E.A.T.N. Project, which connects communities and schools, and the South Florida Afro Pride organization which promotes health and wellness amongst the black LGBTQAI+ community, Terrence is actively engaged in community and collaboration. Recently, T.M. Pride received the Sara Spencer Child Drama Award from the Southeastern Theatre Conference for his dynamic and engaging work for young people.
Patdro Harris
Patdro Harris (Director/Broadway Choreographer/Writer) is nationally and internationally recognized and respected by colleagues, critics, and fans. The Washington Post hails him as a “superb choreographer”. The New York Times applauds his artistry as “praiseworthy”. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution enthusiastically commends his work as “dynamic … brilliant…solid season after season”. And the Houston Chronicle says “…excellent and energizing direction and stunning choreography makes the show an absolute joy to experience”. He has directed at distinguished theaters such as The Alliance Theater, Sacramento Theatre Company, Round House Theater, Liberty Theater Cultural Center, San Diego Repertory Theater Company, Penumbra Theater, Tuskegee Repertory Theater, Ensemble Theater, Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theater Company, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Stage, Theatrical Outfit, Connecticut Repertory Theater, The Tribeca Performing Arts Center, Howard University, Syracuse University, Florida A&M University & the University of Northern Colorado. He also served as choreographer, artistic consultant, and movement director with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, The Kennedy Center, Studio Theatre D.C, City Theatre of Pittsburgh, Minneapolis Mixed Blood Theatre, Jomandi Productions, The National Black Theatre Festival, Guthrie Theater, The National Black Arts Festival, Portland Center Stage, and Broadway's Royal Theatre. Patdro has traveled the world as choreographer and lead dancer for the incomparable Stevie Wonder. He has worked with such artists as The SOS Band, TC Carson, Daryl Coley, Yolanda Adams, and India Arie. His talents were also showcased as Choreographer and Movement Specialist in Toni Morrison's world premiere opera, Margaret Garner. He choreographed the Tony Award-winning Broadway hit A Raisin in the Sun starring Sean Combs and Phylicia Rashad. Mr. Harris attended Alabama State University. In his current home of Atlanta, Georgia he has served on many arts committees including the Georgia Council for the Arts, and the Advisory Dance Panel for the Bureau of Cultural Affairs. He holds to his credit the 1996 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Choreography and has been honored with a nomination for the same award for Best Supporting Actor. He also received a 2002 Drammy Award for Best Choreography and the 2007 Dance Ministry Magazine's Trailblazer Award for Dance Choreographer of the year. He has received a 2009, 2010, 2011, & 2016 Giorgee Award for Best Director and Best Show of the Year. In 2009 he received Atlanta’s top theatre award, The Suzi Bass Award for Outstanding Choreography, and in 2013 he won the Suzi for Outstanding Director of a Play.

Kendall “King” Friday is a musical director, composer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of experience guiding artists and ensembles across genres. A self-taught musician with roots in gospel, soul, funk, and contemporary theatre, he blends instinct, discipline, and emotional intelligence to bring music to life on stage.
His approach to musical direction is collaborative and intentional, focused on elevating story through sound. Whether arranging vocal harmonies, coaching performances, or leading a full band, he creates a musical environment where every performer feels both grounded and inspired. His work is marked by a keen ear, a deep respect for the material, and an ability to translate emotion into arrangement with clarity and heart.
Equally at home in the rehearsal room and live performance, he works to ensure that every note, rhythm, and silence serves the greater arc of the story being told.
