About The Show:
The Wizard of Oz follows Dorothy, a young girl from Kansas, who is swept away by a tornado to the magical land of Oz. To return home, she must follow the Yellow Brick Road to find the Wizard of Oz. Along the way, she befriends a Scarecrow, a Tin Man, and a Cowardly Lion—each seeking something they lack. Together, they face challenges, defeat the Wicked Witch of the West, and ultimately discover that the power to return home was within Dorothy all along.
About The Production:
Back in 2019 I (Mr. Sam) was casted as the Cowardly Lion in my high school’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Out of a 12 week rehearsal process, we were three weeks away from opening night when COVID-19 shut the world down and our show never made it to the light of day. Fast forward 6 years later and I find myself with the opportunity to bring this production to life with our wonderful students. It truly is a full circle moment and I cannot wait for audiences to join us on our journey down the yellow brick road!
