Directors' Notes

We'd like to extend our appreciation to all of the unsung heroes who have rallied around this production & helped make it happen -- even though their names aren't all in the credits.  Thank you so much to the theater community here in Wausau for helping us create this show.  This cast & crew worked tirelessly to create characters that were funny & interesting and easy to understand even if sometimes the language is difficult.  We are so proud of them & thankful for the hours that everyone has put in to bring our vision to life.

Mary Sue Anderson - Officer One

Mary Sue Anderson — a long-time “theatre mom” — is enjoying her very first theatre role as the First Officer in Twelfth Night, her favorite Shakespeare play.  Having found the First Officer’s whistle to be very effective, she is now pondering its possible uses in her law practice.

Joseph Mielke - Officer Two

As someone who considers themselves an optimistic artist, Joseph Mielke is proud to be making his stage debut with Out of the Woods Theatre.  He has been interested in working in entertainment all of his life & now feels he is accomplishing his goals.  He has been working with Wausau Community Theatre for the past two years and was looking for a new challenge and I has achieved his goal here.  Since graduating from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a major in Liberal Studies & minor in Radio-TV-Film, Joseph has been working at various entertainment spots in Wausau -- namely Cedar Creek Cinema & The Grand Theater.  For the future, he would like to move to Los Angeles & go into entertainment fulltime -- namely in acting & comic book writing.  He wants to thank Out of the Woods Theatre for giving him this opportunity to have fun & hopes you enjoy our show!
