Meet the Artists

Heather Dutton

Choreographer/Performer
Heather Dutton - Choreographer/Performer Heather Dutton (she/they) is a Brooklyn based choreographer, performer, and teaching artist. Their choreographic work is informed by a creative background in theatre, comedy, and movement practices, and she is steered by a desire to tell stories that invite any member of any audience to lean all the way in. In recent years, they have created new works with Spark Theater Festival and Mare Nostrum Elements Emerging Choreographers Series. Her work has also been presented at Dixon Place, the Craft NYC, the Koresh Come Together Dance Festival, and ACDA. Her background in gender studies paired with her queer identity has led her to a creative life that deeply considers the ins and outs of identity and the way it situates itself within the body. She is very excited to be sharing some of these explorations with the community at Here Arts Center, and is deeply grateful to all who helped make this work possible.
