Meet the Company
Ben Kaye-Skinner
Ben Kaye-Skinner (Mr. Boddy) holds an MFA in Music Composition from Vermont College of Fine Arts. His previous productions include Everything in Australia Can Kill You, Jurassic Park: The Musical 3D, and Spiderman: The Musical: The Musical, where he worked as a composer, conductor, and musician. Ben is an Instructional Designer with Bosselman Enterprises and enjoys composing, performing, cooking, and watching bad movies. He would like to thank his beautiful, talented wife, Liz Kaye-Skinner(Detective), and Inside The Actor's Studio with F. Murray Abraham.
Apryl D. Schwarz
Apryl D. Schwarz (Mrs. Peacock) holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts with a focus in Music Performance from Peru State College. Her previous stage experience includes Everything in Australia Can Kill You(Sheila) as well as many years of vocal music and show choir. Apryl works as a paralegal at Heinisch & Lovegrove Law Office and enjoys reading, attending live shows, and spending time with her family and two cats. Apryl also tunes pianos on the side. She would like to thank her four children, Avery, Henry, Jace, and Amelia; her husband, Jeff (Colonel Mustard); everyone who helps make 9th Street possible; and the music, art, and activity teachers and coaches who create places where kids can belong and thrive.
Trevor Meyer
Trevor Meyer (Professor Plum) holds an Accounting Degree from UNL and works as an accountant. His previous stage experience includes Aladdin, Robin Hood, and Alice in Wonderland with the Fillmore Central One-Act program. Trevor also volunteers as a coach for the Wilber-Clatonia theater department. He would like to thank his wife, Abbey.
Shannon Engel
Shannon Engel (Miss Scarlet) holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Her previous performance experience includes The Magic Flute(Papagena) at Soo Theater in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Measure For Measure (Juliet) at Nebraska Wesleyan University. Shannon works as a 6–12 Vocal Music Teacher at Crete Public Schools and enjoys reading, crochet, and attending concerts. Her special skills include playing the cello. She would like to thank 9th Street for the opportunity to return to performing, Brock for carpooling "Being in a show is much more fun with you around!", and the patrons for supporting local theater.
Jeffery T. Schwarz
Jeffery T. Schwarz (Colonel Mustard) holds a BS in K-12 Music Education and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Peru State College. He is a K-4/7-12 Vocal Music Teacher at Fillmore Central Schools. His previous productions include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Director), The Wizard of Oz (Director), and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Director). His television debut was on stage with Bob Barker. Jeff enjoys video games, board games, and collectible card games. He would like to thank the cast/crew, his family, and Jodi Meyer. He would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Thomas Ediger. Finally he especially thanks his wife, Apryl (Mrs. Peacock), for "her unwavering support of all the crazy things I agree to do."
Megan Burda
Megan Burda (Mrs. White) holds an M.A. and B.S. in Textiles & Apparel Design and Entrepreneurship. Her previous theatre experience includes A 1940’s Radio Christmas Carol(Margie O’Brien), A Christmas Story(Esther Jane), and Little Shop of Horrors(Reporter/Ensemble), all with Grand Island Little Theater. She works as an Engagement Zone Coordinator with Nebraska Extension and also owns Brick Road Boutique & Coffee Bar. She enjoys coffee, clothing, her business, and spending time with her family and traveling. Megan had this to say "I am forever grateful for my husband, Todd, who gives me unlimited space and patience for my creative endeavors. My kids, Beau and Ryker who diligently helped me learn my lines and probably know them better than I do! They have been my biggest cheerleaders while working on this show and I appreciate them so much!"
Brock Godown
Brock Godown (Mr. Green) is a graduate of Fillmore Central High School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Trumpet Performance from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. This is his first show as a cast member. His previous theatre involvement includes playing trumpet in the pit for Fillmore Central’s productions of Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, and Beauty and the Beast. Brock works as a Band Director at Crete High School and enjoys spending time with friends, family, and his girlfriend, Shannon (Miss Scarlet). Brock shared this "First, I thank our Lord, God, for all He has done for me and for any talent or skill I may have. I owe it all to Him. Then, of course, I'd like to thank Jeff Schwarz and Jodi Meyer for providing me with this opportunity! I am so excited!"
Elizabeth Kaye-Skinner
Liz is a proud mom of three amazing kiddos, and dog mom of two pups, with a lifelong passion for music. She studied music in college, where she sang soprano and met her husband, Ben, while playing flute in band. She is passionate about helping others feel their best through her business with Arbonne International, and also works at the cozy Brick Road Boutique & Coffee Bar. She thrives on connection and loves spending time with friends, whether it’s over coffee or just enjoying good conversation and laughter.
Elizabeth Noel
Elizabeth Noel (Butler) began her musical theater experience in junior high when she played a chipmunk in a children's production of Winnie the Pooh. Her recent productions include SCC's Closer Than Ever and Quilters, where she was a member of the ensemble. Elizabeth works as a kindergarten para and school bus driver and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and music trivia nights. She would like to thank her family, especially her husband, for supporting her in all of her adventures.
Janelle Steig
Janelle Steig (Butler) holds an MA in Spanish Education and is a Spanish teacher. This is Janelle's stage debut. Being in a play has been on her bucket list for most of her life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her kids, and traveling. Janelle would like to thank directors Jodi Meyer and Jeff Schwarz for taking on this production and helping her cross this goal off her bucket list.
Tucker Svec
Tucker Svec (Butler) recently graduated from Exeter-Milligan-Friend high school. Previous productions include Everything in Australia Can Kill You (Ian/Nurse), four years of one-act plays including And Then There Was One: A Spoof, and eight years of Missoula Children's Theatre productions in Geneva. His interests include history, band, and golf. Tucker would like to thank the City of Geneva, where he has had the opportunity to grow as a performer outside of school.
