MELT
What begins as a college theatre rehearsal becomes something neither of them planned for.
When Eli, a theatre student, and Ryan Hale, a hockey captain, are cast opposite each other in a play, the lines between performance and reality begin to disappear. As their connection deepens, both are forced to confront the rules they’ve inherited about relationships, masculinity, intimacy, and what it means to love another man.
MELT is an original play about the different ways men love each other, the stories we tell about those relationships, and what happens when two people decide the story belongs to them.
Written and produced by Shak Kanish
Directed by Fabiana Medici and Chris Prinzo
