Ethan Landygo

Ethan is so excited to be in the regional premiere of Pretty Woman! Ethan has literally grown up on the stage this being his 9th year of being on the stage. His previous Credits include Grease (Doody), The Producers (Carmen Ghia) and most recently Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Mike Teavee). When not on the stage you can also see him as the now coined "Little guy running around the theatre". Ethan works full time here at KAS as the Associate Artistic Director, and even has a few directing credits under his belt. He would like to thank his Family for their everlasting support and Randy Leslie for believing in him and the opportunities that are to come. See Ethan next as Evan in Dear Evan Hansen this June. Keegan Martin

Keegan is very ecstatic to be marking his 30th Credit in Theatre and this year Marks 10 years since he started his journey. Notable roles since then include The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Action in West Side Story, Thénardier in Les Miserables and many more. Keegan can be seen in his final Jr class production as Beetlejuice in Beetlejuice jr and in YPCs Upcoming Production of Carrie. He can also be seen in the MainStage shows in Guys And Dolls, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, and Disney’s Frozen. Keegan thanks his parents, Randy and the whole KAS team for their support. On top of performing, she also stage manages, teaches children’s classes, and performs as a part of the young performance company. Anna is delighted to return to the stage for this Canadian premier. honing her vocal ‘rock chops” to the dynamic score is both thrilling and challenging. As an accomplished jazz vocalist Anna loves to take on roles that hone diverse artistry. From Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard to Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia, she believes she is a stronger vocalist and better actor, thanks to the trust of KAS , cast and creative team, for camaraderie and inspiration. “. Payton is so excited to be apart of this big, huge, production of Pretty Woman. She has been with the Kelowna Actors Studio for almost a decade, and is so thankful for all the opportunities she has been given. You may have seen her before as Johanna in Sweeney Todd, Mrs.Bucket in Charlie and the chocolate factory, or Patty in Grease. Payton also has recently moved up to teaching kids classes this summer. Look for her next in Guys and Dolls (Ensemble), Carrie (Margaret), Priscilla Queen of the desert (Diva) and Frozen (Elsa).

Julie is beyond overjoyed to join the KAS cast and particularly her daughter Joanne Ryan, for the third time.

Ashlyn Wasyliuk has been a member of The Kelowna Actors Studio for six years and is excited to be part of her second mainstage production. She is a member of the Young Performance Company (YPC) and is playing Jenny in their upcoming show, CARRIE: The Musical and currently assistant-teaches three children’s classes each week. Randy Leslie is the Artistic Managing Director and co-founder of Kelowna Actors Studio, where he has been creating bold, entertaining, and emotionally rich theatre for over two decades. As a director, actor, and educator, Randy is known for his dynamic storytelling, strong musical instincts, and love of big, joyful theatrical moments.
His directing credits include Sweeney Todd, The Da Vinci Code, Singin’ in the Rain, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Matilda, and Amadeus, among many MainStage and youth productions. He brings a cinematic eye to the stage, pairing spectacle with heartfelt character work.
As a performer, Randy has appeared in standout roles such as Max Bialystock (The Producers) and Molina (Kiss of the Spiderwoman), with additional acting credits including Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Man of La Mancha.
His work has earned multiple theatre awards and nominations for both directing and performance, and he is the recipient of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Award for his significant contributions to the community.
With Pretty Woman: The Musical, Randy is thrilled to dive into a world of romance, glamour, powerhouse vocals, and irresistible fun—bringing this iconic love story to life for Kelowna audiences alongside the incredible artists who make Kelowna Actors Studio feel like home.

As a long-standing fan of the movie Pretty Woman, Janice is delighted to be included in this production! Last year Janice got to eat a lot of diner pie, escape a lunatic asylum and get murdered by a crazed monk. She looks forward to what this year holds and will next be seen in Guys And Dolls as a straight laced General hoping to save as many souls as possible! And, as always, thank you for your continuing support for KAS. We couldn’t do this without you!

David Morse
Mark remembers very well the release of the film Pretty Woman. It was sometime after the invention of the cotton gin and around the same time as Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence”, both of which he recalls with great fondness. He was last seen as a French detective in “The Da Vinci Code”, and will be again enforcing the law in the upcoming “Guys and Dolls”. He thanks his wife and dance partner for her support.

Parker is extremely excited for his first main stage production in Pretty Women. He has been singing from a very young age and worked in multiple choirs throughout schooling (KSS) gaining the opportunity to perform with the Canadian Tenors as well as various acting roles in school productions. He is looking forward to see what the future brings with the Kelowna Actors studio and is extremely honored to be working with all the amazing cast members and the ever insightful directing team, also look for him later this season as Jimmy In Priscilla Queen of the Desert this summer.

Joanne is thrilled to step into the big huge role of Vivian Ward. Celebrating over 30 years in musical theatre, her recent KAS credits include Jenna in Waitress, Sophie in Mamma Mia, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, and Kathy in Singin’ in the Rain. In honour of this classic film, we have Joanne’s headshot from 1990—the year Pretty Woman was released, and the same year she, then in kindergarten, would have watched it on an airplane. At the time, she thought the movie was about hoop earrings and shopping; revisiting its themes as an adult with the cast and creative team has been both exciting and challenging.

Award winning fashion and costume designer Laurie Brown is proud to spend another lap around the sun with the KAS team and continue to add her expertise to the stage. From headlining runway shoes to the winner of STITCHED Season 1 Episode 6, Laurie is a must watch fashion designer with runway performances that push limits and keep you on the edge of your seat. With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, Laurie has worn many hats and rubbed shoulders with many talented folk along the way. From ink-infused evening gowns, looks that literally change on the runway, over a decade on set in film and photography, to custom bridal and ready to wear, she loves to catch the attention of the least interested person in the room. Laurie loves bringing the ordinary and extraordinary to life before your eyes, and she looks for to another year ahead to wow you!

Favorite roles include Leo Bloom (The Producers), Quasimodo (Hunchback), and Sweeney Todd. When not playing billionaires, he’s an educator and lifelong theatre devotee. He thanks the creative team, cast, friends, family, and his lady for indulging his leading-man era—at least for this run.

Musician, Arranger, Composer, and Educator. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Berklee College of Music where he studied Guitar, Voice, Composing and Arranging.
Born and raised in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Loni is delighted to call Kelowna home for the past 15 years. Equally at home in a wide variety of musical styles from Blues to Jazz to Funk, Rhythm
and Blues, Pop and Country. He has extensive experience accompanying singers, which is a specialty he particularly enjoys. A few of Loni’s performing credits include shows with P.J. Perry, Tommy Banks, Campbell Ryga, Joe Auty, Bob Rogers, The Swinging Bovines and Moe Kaufman. He has even opened shows for San Franciscos
“Tuck and Patti” and the legendary “Bo Didley“
Will Friesen
Drums
Will Friesen is a drummer/percussionist and high school music teacher, currently at Mount Boucherie Secondary School in West Kelowna. His credits in musical theatre reach back to Music Directing and Acting in W.L. Seaton High School shows as a teenager. During years in Vancouver, he played drums for many theatre companies, including Stanley Park’s Theatre Under the Stars. From 2022-24, he music directed three productions at Kelowna Christian School, including High School Musical and Frozen Jr. He is excited to be a part of his first KAS production!
Graham Vink

Graham Vink is a busy performer, teacher, and coach in Kelowna BC with music degrees from the Universities of Calgary and Toronto. He performs regularly as a collaborative pianist with soloists, vocal groups, small ensembles, theatre companies, and the OSO. On top of this, he keeps a busy home studio of 45 students a week.
Megan Frederick
Bass Guitar
Megan Frederick has been actively performing and teaching music for the past 25 years. She has toured all across Canada, worked as a studio musician, performed for various CBC Radio Canada and Télé-Québec programs, and participated in the FrancoFolies Festival, as well as various festivals throughout Western Canada. Megan is the recipient of the 2020 Prime Minster’s Award for Teaching Excellence, and the 2021 BCMEA Outstanding Educator Award. She is an active member of the BC Interior Jazz Festival Committee, Griffin Music Society, and works hard to support the arts and music education in the Okanagan.

Breanna is thrilled to be choreographing Pretty Woman! She has been thoroughly enjoying stepping into this role on the creative team and is excited for audiences to experience the musical adaptation of the well-loved film. Breanna is no stranger to the stage and has been singing, dancing and performing for the majority of her life. You can catch her back on stage performing in Little Shop of Horrors (Chiffon) later this year. Breanna would like to thank Randy for this opportunity and the many mentors who have supported her love of musical theatre and dance. Enjoy the show!

Abigail is twenty-three and this is her ninth year working at the Kelowna Actors Studio. She started as crew and worked her way up to Stage Management in 2021. She also works on production and Programming for Mainstage Productions and Kids Classes. Just this year she joined as an assistant teacher for Beetlejuice Jr and YPC’s production of Carrie. Her previous show credits include Sweeney Todd as Deputy Stage Manager and Charlie and The Chocolate Factory just last year. Next, she’ll be Stage Managing Dear Evan Hansen and Priscilla Queen Of The Desert.
