Director's Notes

New Orleans a place like nowhere else, its music, its food, its architecture, and most of all its vibe, smoky & sultry. A place that I have had the good fortune to take up residence on several occasions. This city gets under your skin & inside your soul. The story of “Hurricane Jimmy” & its composer William Linster and I  began our journey in 2022 with a table read, which led to a staged reading at The Phoenix Theater, and now at The Press Box Theater with our first fully staged production of “Hurricane Jimmy”. This has been a true labor of love from day one, and I am extremely grateful to this amazingly gifted cast for their talent, creativity and dedication towards making this evening a reality. And to my dear friend William, Larry would be proud! Let the magic begin!
